[ Honestly, Squalo would be a lot more surprised about Enoch speaking to him in a non-hostile manner if a bit earlier he hadn't also been chatted up by a guy he did kill a couple days back. People not giving a fuck when you attack them is starting to become old at this rate. ]
Or you could stop it with the pantomime and just walk out if he shows up.
[ Because they (probably) haven't had the chance to discuss this part before. ]

[They did but they didn't. Attacking someone in a fit of frustration is certainly a way to cut a conversation very short.]

[ hE MAY HAVE BEEN REFERRING TO YOU THERE EARLIER, ENOCH... sorry about that. except, you know, not really, because he's not even mentioning that attempt to bite your throat out as if it's a perfectly acceptable course of action. ]
no subject
[Because he kind of tried that when it became clear the marked and unmarked were seeing different things.]
Being unable to do anything else doesn't make me compliant. Compliance involves a choice.
no subject
[ It exists in his head, evidently that is enough. (If only he would be able to remember his own advice later.) ]
He can control your perception. What makes you think he can't trick you into making a choice?
no subject
[Enoch has very strong opinions about free will and the compromising of such.]
no subject
[ This is annoying, but they're also getting nowhere right now. ]
...tried closing your eyes?
no subject
[There's a thunk behind him as Enoch hits the floor after flinging himself at his barrier. His eyes are closed.]
No, [he says, still on the floor (though to his perception he's pressed against his barrier). Still with his eyes closed, he gets up and backs into his cell with eerie precision for someone who can't see where he's going, so he winds up about where he thinks he should be.]
It doesn't work. Even if I don't know where it is in relation to me, I still hit it.
no subject
[ Definitely not the existence of a barrier, though. ]
A'ight, why don't you just stay put for now.
[ the adults got this ]
[ except they totally don't got this ]
no subject
[He drags a hand down his marked face in exasperation.]
