[ Said completely like a matter of fact, no room for discussion there. He tries to aim a kick at the lock in particular, but it does nothing. Hmm. Maybe if there's an engineer here -- ]

[ Alright that's it, he's finding this guy. ]

[ He abandons his escape quest and marches toward the voice, the fastest he can without jostling his arms too much. ]

[ There's the cell with the guy. No locks, no bars, no nothing. ]

[ Squalo walks right in, expression flat, and kicks at his kneecap all in the span of maybe three seconds. ]

[Wait no that's not fair. What's even more unfair is Squalo looks so beat up that fighting back just doesn't look like an option at all. At least he's kind of able to back away, but his already existing injuries see to it that that kick still hurts like hell.]

I never tried to say you were locked out! It's the other way! I can't get through that thing like you did.

[ Oh no. If only Junpei remembered how beat up he'd made him not a long time ago. Squalo does, but he doesn't seem to think the lack of any mentions of it is weird, though he does lament the fact that Junpei doesn't seem to have learned much from his experience. ]

[ He scowls. ]

What thing? There's nothing here.

[ And to illustrate his point, he walks out again. ]

[ There's nothing - no ripple in the field, no shift in the air, no momentary pauses before he crosses the barrier - it's really as if it's not there at all for him. ]

[He'll even make it easier, walking right up to the barrier, and stopping with one foot against it.]

[ He gets a poisonous stare. But this could actually be interesting so he does walk back in, though keeping a distance from Junpei as he does until he's behind him. ]

[Okay, he didn't think this through. Stumbling face first into that force field was a given. But the contact against all those wounds covering his body? That slipped his mind until now. There's a short grunt of pain that he feels almost guilty to give. Everyone else is worse off, damn it.]

[ His leg cramps and he swears, taking it off Junpei for a moment. The dude stumbles forward and runs right back into his cell while Squalo watches in outrage. ]

[Squalo's not that special. Junpei's annoying to everyone. It's a great strategy, really. He can't lose any more of his friends if he tries his best to stop making any.

... Too bad another thing he's not making is progress. This isn't going to work, is it? When the other finally gives up, Junpei lowers one of his hands, careful to keep one up just in case of another kick.]

What? I'm not doing anything. Did you want me to keep leaning on it?

[ What a rude guy. Also that sounds totally fake. ]

[ Squalo stares at him as if he'd gone even more insane during the three seconds the last part of this conversation took. He would totally be strangling Junpei by now if he could. Maybe he should bite him to death, too. ]
