[network] @igjwerkekhgjghkl; video, morning of 352 [open]
[It's been over a week since Lilly bolted from Kesara, during which time she's stayed entirely off of the network. But she's had a chance to calm down, and so this morning, she's decided she wants to make something very clear.
The tablet is lying flat and facing up, giving everyone a very nice view of the ceiling and no view at all of Lilly. This seems to be more by chance than by purposeful choice, though - she's clearly close by, judging by her voice, and every so often she'll lean into view and give everyone a brief shot of her arm or hair. She, like so many other people, is covered in a mysterious pattern of red lines.
Before starting, she takes a deep breath. This is going to involve more talking than she usually likes to do, but she really wants to get her point across.]
Stay away. Don'wanna go wif you. Don'wanna go wif-- anybody. Stay away.
[What a friendly child she is.]
Don'touch don'grab don'take DON'T. Don'like it. I don't. Like. It. Too many too loud too hard hate it.
[She finishes with an irritable snarl, then bats the tablet away, sending it spinning dizzyingly across the floor. Its films the ceiling and distant sounds of scrabbling for a few minutes before cutting out on its own.]

[Unlike other words that are mispronounced or slurred together, she has no trouble at all enunciating her sister's four-syllable name.]
no subject
Then maybe they are. You want me to show 'em to you?
no subject
[She doesn't want him getting any ideas about showing up in person.]
no subject
[ He swings the camera around and shows off both Billy and Vanitas- Vanitas has what looks like a black motorcycle helmet on his head, obscuring his face. Neither of them seem to notice what he's doing, at least for the moment.
He keeps his speakers muted until he gets back into the room he started in, and then he addresses the camera once more. ]
That's them. There's another one, too, but he wears a big suit of armor- lots of metal- so you can't really see what he looks like.
no subject
[She points to Vanitas on the screen, not really spacially aware enough to get that Gabriel can't tell who she's looking at.]
no subject
Which one? The one wearing black?
no subject
no subject
He's my friend. His name is Vanitas.
no subject
[She says, a little smugly. Sure enough, as she leans back to look for it, he might catch sight of the Unversed hanging around in the background of her video. When she'd split off from Vanitas, it had followed her.]
no subject
[ He has no idea if the Unversed hears him or cares, but it's good to see it back there.
He's not entirely sure why Lily finds so much comfort in it, but maybe she's used to a lot of wild animals where she came from. Not that Vanitas' negative emotions scream 'wild animal', what with the black, spiky nature, but- that's all he's got, at the moment. If she likes it, he's glad it's stuck with her. ]
Hope you let it eat something every so often, Lily. It likes sweet things the best, I think.
no subject
Swee-tings.
[She nods in acknowledgement. Okay, she can do that.]
Whaddelse?
no subject
That's about it, as far as I can tell. It does a pretty good job of taking care of itself. If it wants to spend time with you, let it? And if it's hungry, give it a little something. Other than that, it should be okay.
[ He seems to remember that it traveled on its own for a few days and managed to make it to someone else. He's just glad they're both together- that way Lily has something for a companion in this place. ]
And if you need help at any time, if you're hurt or sick- give me a call, okay? I'll make sure you get what you need.
no subject
Whadder you called?
[Maybe he'd told her his name before, but if he had, she had evidently dismissed it as not that important and forgotten it.]
no subject
I'm Gabriel. And here-
[ He pulls a notepad out of his pocket and writes down '@godsend' in large letters, trying to use the same style that the fonts on the tablets have. He shows it to the camera. ]
This is my username, okay? At-Godsend. If you need to reach me, tell your screen to send a message to At-Godsend, and then I'll be on there.
no subject
[She peers at the notepad, and a look of understanding crosses her face. It's not a look of interest - she's not clamoring to learn how people put these symbols together to make meaning - but a connection has been made.]
Dat says agossend?
no subject
[ If he gives her two methods, maybe she'll remember one of them. The repetition doesn't hurt, in any case. ]
no subject
[And just to prove that she knows what she's doing, she shuts off the tablet and then immediately turns it back on, sending him a new message.]
Hi.
no subject
Hi. Looks like you've got that all figured out already.
no subject
[She says, almost dismissively.]
S'okay.
no subject
[ He suspects she doesn't spend a whole lot of time wanting to talk to people, but sometimes it's nice just having someone on the other line. He and Steph did that sometimes. It made it feel like you were less alone. ]
no subject
[Another pause.]
What's mine?
[Good luck trying to explain "igjwerkekhgjghkl" to her, Gabriel.]
no subject
Here, let me write that one down for you, too.
[ And he dutifully writes '@igjwerkekhgjghkl' on the notepad and shows it to her. ]
It's hard to pronounce. At-ig-jay-work-ek-hig-jig-hick-el. [ He pronounces it slowly and repeats it for good measure.] I think the keyboard got smushed when it was asking for a name or something.
no subject
Wanna make it say Lilly.
