hello snowhellions
and fellow band members
one of your fearless lead guitarists coming to you live from the norfinbury amphitheater with a report and a philosophical question
relevant info first:
the houses around here were apparently built with high entropy alloys
those are metals who know how to stand the heat and take a beating
funny things is...
they don't hold up so well in a geothermal reactor
[House will send over two pictures. One is of a piece of rubble. Another is of a melted piece of rubble.]
so that piece caught fire
and then melted in my hand
which leads us to the question:
what the hell are those heat suits at the power plant made from?
because that's the only reason i didn't make like old smooth and skippy in pic #2
if you have thoughts
pls share
consequently
my tablet also melted
tastes like plastic and wires
the rubble tasted like metal before and after the test
significantly smoother after melting, tho
which brings us to our philosophical question:
what is your definition of an extrovert and an introvert?
feel free to use concrete examples
divide up your fellow band members
as you understand those terms
if you don't understand those terms
then look around at other people's definitions

Extroverts talk to people and go to parties and stuff and introverts stay home and read books and only talk to people when they have to and stuff.
And stop licking stuff, dude.

and how would you label everyone who's responded so far in terms of intro/extrovert?

Look, he's doing English for this, this is a team... effort... whateverthingy, is it not?]
Okay so maybe it is the one of the things:
1. It's bullshit
2. Maybe it's some kind of secret future metal. This is the fuuuuuuture, right, like it's some new kind of alloy thingy we don't know about, super smart scientists thought about it or something
3. We are all in sci fi pods so this is all data and there's good heat data and bad heat data and the suit is like good protective heat data but only for the special moments and areas
4. It's not the metal that's special but the geo fire whatever. Is there anything special about the fire? Or the place where the fire comes from. Can you melt the things in a normal fire thing? What is the temperature in the geo thingy?
So the coats are like protective suits for the houses? Are there metal coats for houses that would withstand nuclear blast stuff but not heat heat geo heat stuff? [He's trying, okay.] Like are there metals that might be good for the houses but not for the other whatever
An introvert is someone who buys you a drink at a bar because they hope you will tell them something about themselves so they don't have to. The extrovert is someone who buys you a drink because they think the other will think they are James Bond.
I'll let others ask you about the licking. Unless you feel like sharing. I'd have to buy you a drink first, though.

1. agreed, it's bullshit
doesn't necessarily mean it's not real
2. definitely future metal
probably not that secret if it's hanging out in the above-ground power plant
3. possible
i like the idea of it only working in certain areas
if there are nanomachines incorporated into the fabric
i can see that working
good way to discourage theft
4. it's a type of power plant
heat from the earth
you can't melt the metal with a regular fire
i've tried
doesn't get hot enough
no idea on the temp
my thermometer doesn't go that high
you're probably looking at measurements in degrees kelvin, though
not centigrade
there are possibly metals that are made to withstand heat versus impact
joker mentioned "micropillars"
it's a chemistry technique to make stronger materials
that seems reasonable and he's the specialty chemist around here
my work focuses on medical/biology
so you buying me a drink
is that your way of saying you're a real james bond?
spies are hot

Extroverts work their ideas out in real time with the people around them. Introverts do that quiet thing where they have to think forever about everything before they'll just effing commit.
no subject
not really
but it's better thermal protection than anything else i'm wearing
it's something like 120 pounds with it all on, though
you can't really carry a pack while you're wearing it
[He hates your definition, though, Tess.]
what if you work your ideas out with a group until the group fails
and you have to go off on your own to think about it?

clearly something made to withstand even more heat
theres all kinds of different shielding material for entering atmospheres at high speed
Or personal suits especially for miners or people who work in stuff like that
but thats space tech
An extrovert likes lots of people an introvert likes only a couple of people
or something
