he has not died recently
I think he has died several times since you died but not recently

Perhaps he's building up to a really big one.

I would prefer that he did not.

Are you still learning from him? Travelling with him?
ecks: (hiding behind her hair)

[personal profile] ecks 2018-02-24 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
yes I am still learning from him
no I am not traveling with him
he is traveling with other people now

[And she misses him, but also good riddance.]

[Kesara thinks the good riddance part, but decides to be uncharacteristically charitable.]

Then who are you traveling with, Ecks? Are you alone?
ecks: (looking up)

[personal profile] ecks 2018-03-06 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
I am not alone. I am with Doctor Wilson. He is also Doctor House's friend but he does not die as frequently as Doctor House.

How come you are travelling with his friend? [Her suspicion is immediate and audible. She knows about handling at a remove.] Does he also ask you to do things?
ecks: (thinkery)

[personal profile] ecks 2018-03-09 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I want to travel with someone and Doctor House left to travel with someone else.

[Does there need to be more reason?]

He does not ask me to do very many things.

That is good. That surely makes him a truer friend to you.

I don't know, spiders.

[She's not entirely comfortable with this measuring of trueness of friends.]

[From anyone else, this answer would probably have made Kesara angry. From Ecks, though, she immediately recognizes at least a degree of its meaning. And respects that. She understands the conundrum, she thinks.]

It's only that you must look out for yourself. It's no good thing to always be obeying instructions or filling requests.

[personal profile] ecks 2018-03-22 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
I like to obey instructions sometimes. Not always but sometimes.
