[Nathan squints and frowns as he tries to figure out exactly how he wants to approach things. Honesty (with embellishments) is the best policy? Fuck. He doesn't want to mess with his street cred. You know, the kind he likes to pretend he has that nobody's actually buying.]

So, between you and me, there was this crazy storm that gave anyone who got hit by lightning these crazy powers, yeah? So me and my mates, we're just starting our community service all bright-eyed and bushy tailed, innocent youths. There's six of us, and then we notice that suddenly the next day there's only five of us. And our probation worker, he goes completely mental, chasing us around with a metal beam. He kills my--kills Kelly, who's trying to warn us because she can read minds now but none of us believe her, only another one of us can turn back time so he stops that from happening, and as we're trapped in the Community Center we find the body of the sixth ASBO shithead who went missing stuffed in a locker, and then he gets in, and he's waving around his weapon and he's this big, big guy. And so one thing leads to another and then his head is caved in on the floor.

[As he's talking he gets faster and faster until he's completely out of breath, and then he's breathing heavy. So there you have it, Bruce.]

[Now that's a story. One that wouldn't be too out of place in his own world. Of course the kid could be lying at any point here, but Bruce was more inclined to believe that it was true. The slip-up around 'Kelly' is an indicator that there was real emotion involved, the delivery, his breathing pattern.]
