Said Dr. Jones, “Oh, Mr. Smith,
That’s nothing. Without doubt
We have a simple cure for that;

He laid forthwith poor Mr. Smith

[It could be worse. For instance, Magenta could be listening to the show with a splitting headache and a nosebleed like he was yesterday, so at least that aspect of his health has vastly improved, even if he's being held as a Shakespeare hostage. It would perhaps help if he was at all familiar with Shakespeare.

As it is, though, he's just as baffled as he was the first time around, this time opting to sit down next to Harley to gingerly pet the hyena and lean in to whisper in her ear.]

So, what's he doin'? Seems a bit stupid.

It's not stupid, it's art. [She whispers back, defensively.] He's... he's usually better at it. I think this town's really messed with his mojo. Whaddya think, Magsy?

Art can be stupid! And you'd know better than I do what he's s'posed to be like. He's always been like this to me--maybe a bit better earlier on, but still...weird. This isn't a very good joke, I think.

[He shrugs, giving the hyena a scritch behind the ears.]

It's messed with everyone's...mojo, I guess. Ain't a very nice place.

Yeah, but... Aw, Magsy, you shoulda seen 'im in his prime! You'd fall in love with 'im and nearly die laughin'! I know I did.

I mean--he's funny! He's very, very funny, don't get me wrong. He's got some very good bits and gags and jokes, which is appropriate, but this one just doesn't make too much sense to me. Reckon he's a bit tired? This place is weird. Could be affectin' his funnybone.

How do you meet a guy like this, anyways? Travelin' circus?

[She shakes her head and says, as if it's obvious:] Asylum for the criminally insane. I was his psychiatrist.

And I'm hopin' he's just tired...
