[network] @LINK, day 24 [open]
Food stays if you put it in cupboards.
Leaving it out makes it vanish.
Tried it both ways. Zelda's worked.
@lelric it works your idea works

We're trying the snow tonight, but the cupboards work.

Link! It is Link, isn't it? That's wonderful—that's excellent.
[the whistling wind might clue him in that she's outdoors, but her voice is still intelligible over the sound.]
@link; audio
It's good news. You can put some supplies by when you get in tonight.
[ His voice might be a bit muffled, but he's indoors, so it can be made out a lot more readily. ]
@crescent; video
[she trails off with a sigh and an implied shrug, but then perks up:]
Well, I haven't only got bad news—Link, look!
[she turns on the video, which only shows the steely gray sky and the snow-dusted brim of her hat.]
You remember Alphonse's message about snowshoes, don't you? He's lent me his pair.
[freya, turn the stupid camera around]

like... clothes too. or other supplies.
it could be good to have some things set aside for later, just in case...
you never know when you'll need a good sweater.
[It's definitely sweater weather outside...]
@LINK; text
We can't put any of these by we need them.

it's really smart of you to be trying things like this out!
good thinking

No need to worry about food if it's there and they could say when they take anything from a building on the network.

That's good news! Al, if you're reading this, I take back all the mean things I said about you.
Please let me know if this works for other items/hiding spots ASAP. If it does, I could set up medical stations--remove the risk of travel or time without basic treatment.
text; @LINK
Why did you say mean things about Al? He's nice.
[ Clayton he'd thought better of you. ]
no subject
[Clayton really needs to learn to stop telling jokes around this guy.]
Mean things? What mean things? I've taken them all back, so it doesn't matter anymore.
[okay now he's just being an ass for the sake of being an ass]

And this is excellent news indeed.]
What an incredible find! So whatever cleans up after us doesn't check inside of things. I could save things that might be useful to someone else for them to find instead of hoping I encounter them!
text; @LINK
Just try testing other things too first.
Maybe stay two nights to make sure.

We needed to see that it stayed and it does if it's in something.

Same happens to other supplies we were testing to see how things we put down could stay.

That's wonderful! That's going to make things so much easier here, making sure supplies were available in other places than the stores is going to make such a difference.
audio @LINK
I think we have to make them part of the place and they stay.
[ It made sense to him. When Zelda had added to the cupboards, the food stayed put. When he'd just placed stuff on the counters, it'd been swept up. He'd definitely put them there to be taken later. Zelda's could have been looked over or stumbled into by a random search.
That made a lot more sense to him, especially considering how he'd found some stuff here before. ]
