Mm, so, is anyone else here from a very long time ago?
[Magenta apparently decides to leave it at that for a couple minutes, before returning to elaborate on the question with a carefully maintained tone of carelessness to his voice. It's a far cry from what he actually sounds like when he's excited or happy, but to the casual listener, it's probably close enough.]
I mean--you know. I think we're s'posed to be in...twenty-one-and-something, I can't remember the exacts, but is anyone here from long before now? A few folks I've talked to have mentioned they're from twenty-something, early twenty-something, but I don't know about all of y'all.
[A pause.]
I'm from 1891, and I reckon it's all a little new to everyone, but it sure seems like y'all have an easier time of gettin' used to things! Computers, and the nan...nan--nanomachines, and whatever else. I don't really know much about any of it, and I'm not that smart to begin with! It's all past me, and I'm sorry for not bein' much help. I guess what I'm meanin' to ask is how everyone deals with figurin' stuff out from the future.
He~ey, though, while we're on it: tell me about the future! I've heard the airplanes are marvelous. I'm very interested in all of it, even if I can't quite get it.

whos the president then? whenever youre from i mean. weve got valentine now and hes a bit divided in the publics opinion. i dont know if he would get elected again
no subject
weve got barack obama
hes a ghost now but i reckon if the collective psychic energy of the american people can keep him manifested in the white house then a thing like mortality isnt that much of a barrier to sound governing policy
no subject
who the hell is obama
i mean it sounds like hes a ghost which is something ive never heard of. do ghosts exist in the future then or have they always existed and im only just now hearing about them
no subject
hard to know because i was from the future even before i existed on earth
i was born in 2009 then time got sent back to 1995
but theres like billions of ghosts in the future
more than anyone could ever count
its a fact of unlife
and anyway obama is the savior of the economy and the one true rap king of the universe
his campaign hinged on delivering incisive political commentary through sick rhymes
and when youve got beats that catchy paired with innovative proposals for new governmental policies youre basically a shoe in

I'm from antiquity compared to you, but I've had a few months to get used to it. For me, it all comes down to simply trying things, I've found. Experiment, and ask if you don't understand something.
