[ 316: This was a house once, but all that's left is a living room. Still, it's lavishly decorated in blacks and reds, thick tapestries depicting the prophet's eye symbol covering the windows and a delicately carved eye drawn on the inside of the door that exits into the rest of the area. At least, with the tapestries, it's a bit warmer in here than in other places. "ALPHONSE ELRIC, DAY TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY TWO, CONTACT @LELRIC FOR ANY ASSISTANCE." and "ALPHONSE ELRIC, DAY TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE, CONTACT @LELRIC FOR ANY ASSISTANCE." are written on one of the walls. ]

First Night

[ Kicking off the snow by the door before he heads over to a corner to claim. Once he sets his Unversed on his pack just to be sure no one had any bright ideas like the last time he traded with someone face to face, Vanitas pulled out his tablet to check. He taps against the screen slowly, typing in Billy's username into the field and then typing out his message.

Here.

What he's leaving out is that he's also feeling mildly... anxious. Manic. ]

[ Billy arrives from the trap door, not long after. ]

It's me!

[ He's sure to be loud about it, in case good old Mickey decides he's an anomaly. Getting killed twice in a row would just be embarrassing. ]

Better Half?

[ Any possible sad beard starting isn't enough to make him think he's an anomaly. He does have his blender blades out in his hands just in case when the trap door opens. He relaxes as soon as he sees Billy. Putting it away in his coat pocket before he gives a cant of his head. ]

Only after dinner first.

[ The joke is said with a flat tone. Vanitas pauses before pulling off his helmet to give him confirmation that it is him. ]

Oh, gross.

[ Billy's had enough practice with people running around in masks to recognize the voice right away, but the confirmation's still nice. ]

Bring the crystal?

[ He does laugh at the gross part. Putting the helmet down by his stuff as he nods. ]

I do. What did you bring me?

[ He's not whipping it out yet dude until you show him the goods. ]

How mad would you be if I said 'nothing'?

[ Before Vanitas can get too worked up about that, though, Billy's scrounging a pair of wire cutters and holding them up for inspection. ]

[ For a moment, he was going to ask why waste his time with a meeting then.

And then Billy pulls out the wire cutters. Those should do nicely. ]

Tested them yet?

[ Going to his own bag and pulling out Noct's cocoon the crystal. ]

Not on actual wire. They cut through a little piece of metal siding okay; not sure how they'd do with whatever weird stuff this wall is made out of.

[ Billy holds out a hand, making a grabby motion. ]

Lemme see.

[ He does hesitate, before deciding to hand it over. Snagging his own tablet to click it on to provide light. Then he'll aim it at the crystal. It seems to light up. LOOK HOW PRETTY. ]

It was already broken when I found it.

[ Not even sure what the draw of it is. ]

[ Billy turns it back and forth in his hand, regarding it with something like awe, before closing his glove around it and tucking it into an invisible plotket pocket along the seam of his suit. ]

It works. Thanks.

[ If Vanitas were hoping for an explanation, there isn't one forthcoming. ]

[ He doesn't question it. Not yet.

Instead, he'll put his tablet away and then mess with his own prize. Testing it out himself by scoping out the edges. ]

What are your plans after this?

Haven't got any.

[ At least not yet. None of his previous leads have turned up anything interesting. ]
