[log] Grass is probably green, sky is probably blue [closed]
Characters: Stephanie Brown, Alphonse Elric and Gabriel Gray
Location: Skywalk 287
Date: Night 265
Summary: A reunion
Warnings: TBA
Steph doesn't reach the skywalk again until scant moments before lockdown, but the boys have had the whole day to recover from their godawful experience. She assumes this is enough time for them to regain at least some desire for affection.
If not, they're out of luck, because the first thing Steph does after dropping all her belongings by the door is throw herself at first one, then the other. Hopefully nobody will comment if she's crying a little.

You were checking up on me?
[ He chuckles weakly. ]
I was avoiding anyone who sounded remotely- well, heroic. Thought it'd save us all from an inevitable fight. Then I bumped into Al, and none of it went how I expected it to go.

[ She shrugs. ]
And Al makes friends with everyone. It's what we do.

[ The jar is finally put down on the ground, although he glances at it to make sure it's safe where it is. ]
Not sure what I'm gonna do with this now. It seems wrong to just leave it.
no subject
Do you want to, maybe, bury it?
no subject
That doesn't feel right, either. Like leaving him to this town forever or something.
[ He sighs. ] Plus, do you have a shovel? 'cause I don't.

[ She's got plenty of stuff to dig with. He has a good point about leaving him in Norfinbury, though. ]
What if we burned it? That's sort of a funeral thing. I've got stuff for it. You could keep the ashes. It's more like setting him free, don't you think?
no subject
Yeah. Yeah. I like that idea. It's more fitting.
You think we should be using our fire supplies for something like that, though? We might need 'em later.
[ He'd still rather keep the brain, but at least the very idea of it isn't repulsive. Not that he had any place to say what was repulsive at the moment. ]
no subject
Honestly I've been keeping it for cold-ish nights. We have more than enough matches and fuel for a makeshift funeral pyre.

I guess we do, don't we? And- well, it's been awhile since I've felt anything even remotely warm. I'd bet we all could use the heat.
I'll talk about it with Al, once he's done looking over the place.

[ She's not looking forward to the smell of formaldehyde and burning brain, tho. ]
no subject
[ And he heads off to do just that. Maybe it won't be so smelly while it's drying, at least? ]
no subject
[ She's just gonna avoid that corner. ]
