"More people?" A bewildered frown. "What will they do? It's a bit full in here already, isn't it? I'm not sharing this room with anyone, don't be absurd..."
...where exactly was here, again? He couldn't place it. That was...worrisome.

He was talking like an imbicle again, but it was just so difficult to get his thoughts in order.
"That's too dangerous, Sherlock can't be a part of that," he said dismissively. "I'm not going to endure losing him again."
no subject
"He'll be all right," Sylar insisted, as if emphasizing the words would be convincing. "At least you have someone that would help." He did too, but it was easy to forget when he'd spent his entire life feeling alone.
"Wait, when did you lose him?" The question escapes him almost before he notices it. It didn't make sense to him.
no subject
"When did I lose him?"
A few seconds of silence while Mycroft tried to remember that, too. Did he misplace Sherlock or...?
Ah.
"I meant he died...twice, I think, before...before here." Wherever they were now. "He can't keep dying, he might not come back, obviously."
no subject
"Obviously. I hope he doesn't come either, then."
He was quiet for a moment, contemplating their situation- or trying to. It was really difficult when he didn't know what the situation was, exactly. "We're getting confused. Someone drugged us." He didn't remember that, but it must've happened. Probably some pretty heavy stuff, if it hit him this hard.
no subject
"I...yes, you're right, we must have. It's bloody difficult to think." This was appalling, now that he realized what was happening. His precious intellect... "How dare they...?"
no subject
He might not have said that out loud if he knew Royce was literally a couple cells down, but he only remembers talking to him over the tablets. He reached into the dark, quiet place his mind was becoming and tried desperately to find a topic to talk about. "Why do you think they did this?" What do they want?"
no subject
"Information. Don't talk, don't tell them anything. It's always information."
No wait, that wasn't right. They didn't ask any questions.
"Don't know what they want," he sighed. "Something about...us being sick, making us better."
no subject
The bars didn't seem to suggest that, though. "Or maybe we did something while we were sick. Do you remember what happened before we were here?" He's fairly sure there should be something, but it's just...gone.
no subject
"I..."
It was gone, too. That wasn't right, he had an excellent memory, but it was just...not there. It frightened and baffled him.
"No, I can't...it's not supposed to be this way," he was sure of it...or was he? "At least, I don't think. Unless there was nothing before." Maybe he'd just imagined it...?
no subject
He sounded less certain of himself as he continued, but he didn't know what to think if they had just been here. Were they created flawed like this?
no subject
Mycroft was still baffled. He didn't like the feeling of it, he knew that much.
"Maybe not, maybe this is how things are supposed to be?" That felt more accurate. "Maybe everyone starts out like this."
no subject
So he nodded. "Maybe you're right. This is the beginning, then. Where we start. I'm glad they'll fix us, then." He hoped it wouldn't take too long.
no subject
"I hope it's not too complicated to fix us," Mycroft said, maybe that's what he was worried about. "There's someone I'm...supposed to find, after. Or maybe not, maybe I'm not supposed to find him?"
He was quite confused. There was someone, very important, but he couldn't quite remember who they were.
That bothered him greatly.
