How tall is everyone? I've been wondering, meeting with different people here, what the spread of heights might be. Among other things. If you aren't sure on specifics or if you don't know the measurement system, I can give you an idea of how to compare units you might be familiar with.

Am I understanding correctly that your position is that because I don't know the intimate details of his world, I can't know conclusively that his situation is dangerous and that while you don't either, you know conclusively that he isn't? And people wonder why I prefer spirits to people.

Yes, different worlds have different physics. If you want to tell me that in your world when you drink a dragon's blood, nothing else happens, I believe you. Apparently there are worlds where the spirits of the dead hang about after death instead passing on to the Maker's side. There is a difference between that sort of shift in action-reaction and the physicality of a plane.

In the world where the man turned himself into a monster, do they need to eat? Do they need to shit? When it rains, do they get wet? In a non-physical realm, the beings there still need to feed but they don't eat the way we do. The world does not function the way ours does and they do not have the same understanding of physical existence. However likable they may be, they are not like us and we shouldn't rely on the idea that they share our priorities or reasoning or reactions to physical stimuli.

So yes, in my world we call people abominations when they cede control of their body to a non-physical entity.

He's as human as anyone else here, if that's what you're worried about. And in my world's mythology, being possessed by the Lord or his servants is considered a blessing by some people. There's divine purpose in it. Whether you believe in it or not, calling someone an abomination just because of what they are is wrong.
