[network] @standardissue; It's a Code, Cruel World [open] [Night 217]
Found something neat.
[There's light in the room that Kunsel's in, like the light from a computer screen. That's definitely not a tablet Kunsel's focusing his camera on, though. The room itself appears to be part of a small office. Hard to see the cubicles in the dark, but that hardly matters. That's not what Kunsel wants people to see.
No, it's the screen of a large machine that's been bolted to the ground. A screen that's still clearly working. It says "Please enter password" in plain text.]
Don't suppose anyone's found any random passwords lying around?
[He's posting this as much for his own sake as for information, since his discovery happens to coincide with an urge to share his fears that he's trying to resist right now.]

Maybe. Hopefully. There's a place where I can plug my tablet in here and...
[Best not actually talk about hacking on the open network.]
Well. We'll see what turns up. If you're interested, I'll let you know how it goes.

You'd think. And yeah, let me know what you figure out.

[He leaves it at that for now, focusing on the task at hand. It'll be a good while before Kunsel gets back to him.]

It's a key card machine. It makes key cards from whatever images you supply it with, though apparently with some restrictions for certain copyright protected cards.

[After just a tick.]
You try using an image of the card those people found down at the gate the other day?

Brian has Robert Miller's keycard. That's the one we couldn't make a copy of.

You think it's important?

But I'll ask.

Thanks. I'll be interested to know if the other copy works on the power plant. I'm not far from there myself, so I'll get back in contact with you if I come across anything that seems useful.

Brian doesn't know where it was picked up. He said Tim found it, but Tim's died since then and hasn't revived yet.
We'll be in touch, then.
