One would think descriptors like "he has no legs," and "bright orange bird-person" would be enough to jog his memory, but it wasn't until she mentioned the bit about meteors that it clicked for him. Meteors means the one from the video game universe, which means the time traveler. He hadn't even been aware it was this person who'd lost his memory; Stephen has been watching the network but it's impossible to keep good track of who's who even with Claire's help and he's mostly refrained from replying to anything as a result.]
