Zack, that's the wrong foot.
[Which Zack probably would have figured out soon enough, but might as well save a little time.]

[ There's no way in hell he did. At least not in that moment. But he heeds Kunsel's footnote and yanks the boot off, slipping it on his other foot with much more ease. Grunting softly, he mutters: ] Hope this doesn't last for the next week.
[ Being blind, even short term like this, would sure make things harder. ]

[So, so dry. You're not fooling him, Zack.]
What, you don't want me laughing at you for a week?
[Just as he says that, though, he stumbles when solid ground becomes soft, like the stuffing in a pillow.]

Wouldn't be so bad if it would just stick with one thing. Sheesh, feels like I'm walking on a giant bed now.
[He glances at Zack.]

[He hasn't clued in yet that Zack can't see. After all, he'd done just fine spotting the monster that Kunsel himself couldn't see.

[ He says it almost like a joke. Almost but man, does he ever feel like a sitting duck as he is. It'd be really nice to be able to see where he was going right about then. ]

[Kunsel rubs his chin, musing on that. Just as before, it still feels important.]
And you can tell the difference between lights that are monsters and lights that are other people?

[ Zack shrugs vaguely, offering little else. But then it's a little hard to considering. Not like he can see much else. ] There's people that glow red, too. Every time I've run into one, it's like that time all over again where one of us gets those urges again and tries to go after the other.
Wrapping this up?
[Kunsel thinks for a moment, then ends up shaking his head.]
Let's just focus on the monsters.
[He'd rather not have to deal with fighting off anyone else. Monsters, on the other hand... That's right up their alley.
Monster extermination, huh?]
Feels just like old times.
Might as well
[ It's a weak scoff, the faintest touch of some old joke between them. But Zack fixes a hand to the knife at his belt, regardless, as he reaches out in the direction of Kunsel to pat around until he can fix the other on his shoulder. ]
Lead the way, buddy.

[Maybe Zack can't see the smile on Kunsel's face, but maybe he can hear it in his voice.]
