[log] Event: Howl [open]
Characters: everyone
Location: The sort of location M.C. Escher wishes he'd thought up.
Date: nights 211 & 212
Summary: I hunt for you with bloody feet across the hallow'd ground
Warnings: potential for violence, death, and psychological horror; please note in subject lines if any specific warnings come up!
like some child possessed, the beast howls in my veins
I want to find you tear out all your tenderness

Well, not really. But mock indigence is better than the slightly alien sadness that keeps trying to overtake Jim. ]
Figured out any tricks to navigating this place?
no subject
[Good thing that indignation isn't real, because Kunsel not going to take mercy on him just yet.]
Mostly? Just taking it one step at a time.
[Unfortunately, he only wishes he was being facetious there. He makes a face when their surroundings turn into a scree-covered slope somehow hanging above their heads while their feet are planted firmly in the clouds.]
Or maybe no steps. Not sure I'm up to walking on clouds.
no subject
[ Jim sounds more absent than indignant now, though, as he takes in the change in the surroundings. Unlike Kunsel, though, he's grinning. ]
Speaking of climate.
[ He takes a few experimental steps on the cloud and, after half a second's consideration, jumps high enough to come down hard.
To his delight, he bounces. ]

funinteresting. Kunsel follows, jumping hard enough to bounce next to Jim.]Trying to reach my atmosphere there?
no subject
[ Jim snickers when Kunsel joins him; they both look ridiculous, but he's not complaining. ]
How high do you think we're getting-?
no subject
[Having fun with stuff like this may be the only way to stay sane in this place, regardless of how ridiculous they appear.]
Hmm. Five feet or so? Better not jump too high.
[It'd suck if they come down and the ground isn't bouncy anymore.]
no subject
[ Jim stares up at the trees above them, a certain determined look in his eye that absolutely never spells anything good. ]
This is where you help me.
no subject
[What is that look, Jim? What are you planning? And is it something that Kunsel will endorse?]
no subject
[ Jim point up at the forest. ] I think if we time our jumps right, you might be able to get me all the way up there.
no subject
And when the forest disappears? Do I hover below you to catch you in my arms?
