[ Resistance is expected. What isn't expected is just how effective it is - blows strike true and sting and ache instead of glancing off, nails catch and draw blood instead of breaking on skin that should be all but impervious to harm. Castiel was aware that this place had brought him low, but it was hard to judge the full extent of it until now.

It doesn't matter, though. Pain is fleeing, and he has experienced far worse. Grappling with the Prophet, Castiel grabs him roughly by the shoulders and drags him halfway into a sitting position before slamming him back into the ground, aiming to stun him or knock him out. ]
