[The Joker roams the illogical halls with a small sigh. Upside down stairwells, walls that rotate in ways that defy basic geometry...

It's the stuff of dreams.

His dreams.

Surely, this is another dream.

At least, he thinks, he is not drowning in this one.]

[Ever the suspicious sort, even when he knows he's supposed to be trusting, England doesn't approach the near point of bluish light immediately. It doesn't seem to be too far away, but he can't tell what obstacles lie between them.

Further, still, though, there are things to worry about. Writhing things. And that light might be someone England knows.

So he calls out, cautiously.]
Hello?
harlequinofhate: (I don't know how to do the mambo)

(Sorry for the delay!)

[Joker looks lazily back when he sees England approach and responds in his best imitation of America.]

Hello.

You've gone blind too?

[Not exactly practised in being blind, England's hearing hasn't yet come to compensate for his missing sight. At first blush, it's a convincing impersonation.

So the change in England's expression is immediate—still guarded, but hopeful, grasping for some familiarity in this vulnerable situation.]
America?

Yeah, it's me.

[Joker draws back.]

Are you okay?
