[network] @ASolomons; audio, evening of 205 [open]
A couple of nights ago, Charles brought up a very good point. I'm sure you've all seen it by now. And I think that even if no one but the explorers is taking the food and supplies left, he's shed some light on an important issue to consider for the future.
[There's a creak of a chair as he adjusts, still struggling to get comfortable with his broken ribs.]
So what I'm suggesting here, right, is a system of accountability. Those of us who are leaving supplies will leave our contact information - names and usernames, with a request to give us a ring when supplies are taken. And that, yeah, that'll serve two purposes. One, it'll let us know when a supply point is running low and needs to be restocked. And two, if many things are disappearing without any messages to us, it'll let us know that something might be going on that needs to be looked into.
I, for one, would very much like to know if the supplies meant for the explorers are being misappropriated.
[He gives a significant pause here, wanting that to sink in. It's no coincidence that this is coming right on the heels of House's post about him. If anyone who isn't exploring new areas is taking food and supplies that are being left, he wants them to know that he specifically is paying attention.]
Now - it's true that things aren't very centralized here. Yeah, there hasn't been much communication. And therefore, I think that most of us are gonna be understanding towards those that might have taken things out of ignorance - not knowing that they were meant only for people traveling into unexplored areas, where useful tools might be especially needed and town-provided food might be hard to get to. But I would hope that now that this has been made clear by both Charles and myself, you'll all keep this in mind for the future - and, of course, return any supplies you might have taken that haven't already been used up.
Thank you.
[He cuts the feed.]

you can have that still but you know thats not what i mean
you forfeited the chance for me to just trust this idea after what you did
whats in it for you
you going to hunt down the thieves and taken their shit too
you going to take supplies people leave and then not contact the suppliers to stir up drama at people you dont like
i gotta be hitting close somewhere
to say nothing of the totally transparent attempt to make yourself look like the good guy
big bad house was just victimizing you right
no subject
no subject
resource aggregation scheme right
you want the important shit to yourself

no subject
you said some but not all
are you going to say which parts you arent denying
no subject
Would you like a list?
no subject
its the part where you ordered around someone who couldnt refuse to do what you say
are you being obtuse on purpose or do you honestly not get that
yes id like a list

wrong:
I'll be stealing from the supply drops and framing people I don't like
House was victimizing me
right:
I might hunt down thieves and take back what they take, plus some collateral as punishment, but that will depend on their reasons for stealing. I'd be far more lenient towards desperation than laziness or selfishness.

i know full well he was calling you out for good reason
and i cant say im surprised if youre going to keep having shit morals but my point was saying what caused the big drop from alright dude to total jackass
i already know youre a gangster who does gangster things
we talked about that when you started up the trade system
so if youre expecting me to do a big holy shit at you doing it again now youve missed the mark so bad youre in another state entirely

There was no drop. Do you understand that? These two things, here, they're not mutually exclusive. Going after House does not mean I don't want to help us all escape from this place, and wanting us all to escape doesn't mean I won't go after those who wrong me.

is that really how you think of what you did to him
no subject
And it is, yeah. I did something awful to him, but it was not a random, crazed attack.
no subject
and now that you did this to him i cant trust you anymore regardless of what good intentions you might have for other things
simple
are you actually going to state your reason or are you just going to dodge around saying you have one without spitting it out
no subject
It looked as if you were asking me. 'What caused the drop', yeah? You really should use audio for important discussions.
[Or punctuation, but he's from the era of telegraph abbreviations, so he's not one to harp on shortened texting.]
I won't be stating my reasons. No. On the whole, I do not like shouting my personal business from the rooftops.
no subject
[Sorry, Alfie, but he likes text first and foremost, and also he's being a prickly douche on purpose.]
and in that case im just going to go ahead and not believe you have one besides wanting shit for yourself
i think were done here
