[For once Sherlock is not on text only, he's on video in all his glory. Which is a very diminished glory today, considering he looks terrible. Too thin in the face, though his clothes hide the rest of him, and dishevelled as though he's spent a few months not really putting any care into his appearance. His hair is longer than the last time anyone has seen him, and he looks older.

He's moving frantically in short bursts of energy, jittery, as if he isn't quite sure whether he wants to stay still or keep moving.]

Data, yes, I should share that. [It's a mumble to himself as the tablet tilts, giving an askew feed of the detective.] Purposeful death does cause nearly guaranteed revival, this has now been tested several times with no known cases of permanent death.

[The tablet shifts again as Sherlock moves between morgue drawers, checking them one by one and then moving on.]

John. [It's a sudden shift in direction.] John Watson, has anyone seen him?

[ Well...damn. Sylar watches the feed closely, wanting to discern what Sherlock's death price is. This is unusual behavior for him, but he's never had to be here without John before.

Sylar himself looks more gaunt and pale, the latter the result of recently jostling his bad leg. The Vicodin he has unfortunately only helps so much, especially since he's trying to be careful with the dosage. ]

I haven't seen him, no. What happened?

[He suddenly halts in his frenetic movements, attention shifting to the tablet to frown down at it as if to figure out if he really had been that candid.]

[ Sylar raises an eyebrow. ]

Yeah, I figured. But why? Trying to get into the morgue lockers again?

Trying to save John.

[Why is he being so candid? Never mind, too much to think about.]

[ The death price is starting to dawn on him, having been hit with honesty himself so recently. ]

And what happened that you had to do that? Anomaly attack?

[Maybe if he keeps his answers brief then he can avoid oversharing? That seems like a good plan for now.]

[ He sighs, and switches the button on the device that turns this into a private conversation. ]

Yes, it seems I am.

[ He looks up at the ceiling, trying to decide whether to take advantage of this or not, then lets out another sigh. ]

All right. I'll stop asking. For the record, though, you're getting off easier than I did. At least you can talk around things.

[ Yeah, there's a little jealousy there. ]

So let me know if I can help with anything. [ Not a question, so that should get around Sherlock's death price. ] I'll keep an eye out for John, but you'd certainly hear from him before I ever would.

[He barks a single hollow and almost bitter laugh, but he's not about to explain to Gabriel why John would be unlikely to contact him when he revives. When, not if, he has to come back.]

[ The laugh is a surprise. Sylar raises an eyebrow, but sticks to his not-asking policy. ]

[ A flippant send-off? An actual request? Who knows, going by Sylar's tone? He disconnects. ]
