I don't listen to anything, Solomons. Or have you missed that with the fact we keep coming back to this point? We both know this isn't going to be the last time something like this happens because you can't control me without this ridiculous death price in place.

[And then the response from Tony comes in, and Alfie leans in to look. If House tries to hide the screen in any way, he'll just order him to let him see.]

Tell him you're near the school. Tell him you're desperate; tell him you need him to come to you right away.

[House does as he's told to the letter. He's having to trust Tony's intelligence here, but he's fairly confident in it for this.]

[All Alfie's attention is on the texts from Tony now. When the next response comes in, he swears.]

[And again, House does as he's told.]

[He clicks his tongue at Tony's reply. The hospital. He's not going all the way back there. That's a loss, then.]

Who do you think it might be, the Joker?

I don't know. [That's an honest answer, at least. More likely Tony knows there's something off in House's replies.] You want me to ask him why, or what?

I don't think he's gonna tell you.

[And Alfie cares less now. But... he nods towards the tablet. It's a clear go ahead signal, and he's a little curious if it's enough to be considered an order.]

[It is. House sends a simple message to Tony, then freezes when he sees Alfie pulling out his harmonica.]

Put it back, Solomons.

Who's gonna break first again, House?

[He pockets the harmonica.]

[House's scowl deepens.]

I don't know. He said I can come back.

[devoutish]

Mm. I think he's hiding something.

Good for you. What should I tell him?

Ask him what the technical difficulties are.

[He's reading House's message to Tony over his shoulder.]

[House grits his teeth.]

These people, they think they can keep danger contained all on their own. Tell him that if something dangerous is going on in the hospital, you have a right to know.

You people. You think you have a right to complain when you're part of the danger.

He said I have to come to him.

[devoutish]

There's different sorts of danger out there, mate.

[He scoffs a little at the next message, but:]

If it were bad, he'd be trying to talk you out of coming.

So, what? You want me to go meet him? I'm almost out of food, Solomons. I'm gonna starve if you order me to go back now. I mean, you don't care about me going into withdrawal, so maybe that won't matter either...

[devoutish]

[There's no point in telling House to get the pills and bring them to him. Death prices only last a couple of days - the fun is probably nearing its end.]
