[log] Event: Lavender's Green, Part Two [open]
Characters: everyone
Location: mysterious, white hallways
Date: Day 193-194
Summary: Find friends. Get lost. Don't look.
Warnings: Potential for gore and psychological horror. Please note any specific warnings in your subject lines!
While confusingly similar, the area is split into a few different sections:
The Core
The hallways here are narrow and twist at a rapid rate. With how dazzlingly white everything is, it's easy to not realize you're coming on a turn and slam right into the walls. There are no rooms here--no one starts here, though they may find it while they wander. At the center is a large, round area, like the center of a spiral. There's a lot of air pressure here.
The Inner Hallways
The largest area, filled with dead ends, gentle slopes and twists, and, occasionally, difficult-to-see drops where a higher hallway intersects with a lower one without a wall to separate them. The whole place tastes vaguely like blood. Most rooms are here--most people start here.
The Outer Hallways
The outer ring of the ball of yarn. It's not as thick with halls and twists as the other two areas, leading to a lot more boring walking in one direction. It's totally possible to circle around the same path multiple times without realizing it, as everything is so similar here. Occasionally, footsteps can be heard just outside the farthest walls. Sometimes, something breathes. There are a few rooms here--some people will start here.
Remember to note what kind of eyes your character has in their top level!

Is that what happened to your arm?
no subject
No. I had it removed here, frostbite.
no subject
Oh. When your fingers and toes get all numb. I know. [What frostbite is, she means. She lifts one of her own hands up at him.] It's okay. I'll hold your other hand.
The floor is funny sometimes. I fell down once because the floor went down, but I couldn't tell because everything is all white.
no subject
Wait.
Hold up a minute, did this kid just say she was going to hold his hand?! He actually comes to a stop and stares down at her.]
...I'll warn you if there's a dip, you don't need to hold my hand.
no subject
What if we need to run, and I get left behind?
no subject
[Too blunt, he knows it even as it comes out.]
You'd be safer if I carried you.
no subject
no subject
Yeah. Can you climb up?
no subject
no subject
What's your name, kid?
no subject
[She quite likes being up this high. It's thrilling.] If I see a monster, I'll tell you, and then you can beat it up. Have you beat up monsters before? Mister Alfie and Royce says you can't beat them up in the town, but maybe you can here.
no subject
He sets off walking again pretty quickly, trying to go always left in the common way of solving a maze.]
If we see a monster, we run. We're looking for an exit, not a fight.
no subject
She just wanted adventure.] I'll tell you if I see a monster, and then we can run. [And hopefully dodge the monsters.] Are you looking for your friends?
no subject
No.
[He starts to move a bit faster, a loping jog.]
I told you, I'm looking for an exit. That's it.
no subject
[Important question. He never said he didn't have friends, just that he wasn't looking for them.]
no subject
But he's scared, so very scared, and still half sure that this facility is a place designed to wipe the memories from people in order to make them easier to control. His voice gets rougher.]
I'm no hero.
[That's not what she asked, but it's answer enough.]
no subject
You don't have to be a hero to be a friend.
no subject
Maybe, but a hero goes back for their friends.
no subject
But--maybe we should find the exit first.
no subject
He's not about to say as much to some random kid, though.]
Then you don't want to be with me, we'll find you someone else to help you find your friends.
[He doesn't go near Tifa, it's a rule.]
no subject
If we find the exit, you can leave.
no subject
[He's not that heartless. But how to explain this?]
Some of your friends aren't my friends.
no subject
They said they do bad things, but they have been nice to me. They were nice to Miss Tifa, too. I haven't seen them-- [Wait.]
Well, I did see them be mean to Mister House. I thought the town was making them do bad things, like what happened with me and Miss Tifa, but... they were okay.
no subject
He sighs, hopping down a dip in the path to carry on at a jog.]
Not them. Tifa.
no subject
You don't like Miss Tifa? [WOW, what the heck.] What did Miss Tifa do?
