[log] Event: Lavender's Green, Part Two [open]
Characters: everyone
Location: mysterious, white hallways
Date: Day 193-194
Summary: Find friends. Get lost. Don't look.
Warnings: Potential for gore and psychological horror. Please note any specific warnings in your subject lines!
While confusingly similar, the area is split into a few different sections:
The Core
The hallways here are narrow and twist at a rapid rate. With how dazzlingly white everything is, it's easy to not realize you're coming on a turn and slam right into the walls. There are no rooms here--no one starts here, though they may find it while they wander. At the center is a large, round area, like the center of a spiral. There's a lot of air pressure here.
The Inner Hallways
The largest area, filled with dead ends, gentle slopes and twists, and, occasionally, difficult-to-see drops where a higher hallway intersects with a lower one without a wall to separate them. The whole place tastes vaguely like blood. Most rooms are here--most people start here.
The Outer Hallways
The outer ring of the ball of yarn. It's not as thick with halls and twists as the other two areas, leading to a lot more boring walking in one direction. It's totally possible to circle around the same path multiple times without realizing it, as everything is so similar here. Occasionally, footsteps can be heard just outside the farthest walls. Sometimes, something breathes. There are a few rooms here--some people will start here.
Remember to note what kind of eyes your character has in their top level!

Glowing Eyes
[For someone who might seem to be a decrepit old geezer at first glance, Undertaker could move very quickly when he wanted to. Not as quickly as he could with his full powers, but others might still see a flash of black above or below them, as he ran underneath and gracefully leapt over gaps in the hallway floors.
He'd taken the backpack he'd found and hauled off with it, one ration bar sticking half-way out of his mouth as he moved. Eating while moving might sound like a bad idea (and had the potential to be if he miscalculated his steps) but he wasn't bad at multi-tasking.
It doesn't take long for him to overtake someone else at the clip he's going, and they only get a muffled warning before he's right up on them.]
On 'er left!
The Core.
[He has to go much more slowly here. The hallways have tightened, the endless white making it more hazardous to move too quickly or without care. His ears pop as he comes further towards the open space at the centre, but holds off on entering it just yet.
This looks suspiciously like a corral.]
Maybe they are intending to get rid of us, after all~ [No, he isn't suffering from paranoia. At least, not any caused by the exposure effect. But he cocks his head back at whoever's with him, looking over his shoulder at them.]
What do you think?
inner hallway
You're not human either, are you?
[On your right!]
no subject
What an unexpected greeting.
[Undertaker adjusts his mostly empty pack, brushing his hair back with one hand before he turns.]
And what makes you ask that? [There's a mischievous tilt to his smile that says he's very interested in hearing Sherlock's explanation.]
no subject
Thank you for the confirmation.
[No explanations yet, he's enjoying having the puzzle pieces finally.]
I doubt you're also a demon. Something more attuned to death and the passing of souls to take a job like an undertaker, to make that your identity.
no subject
Congratulations, consulting detective. You figured it out in record time~ Though I gave you some of the clues on purpose.
no subject
[His smile gets a little wider, he does so love to be right.]
no subject
His glowing eye is an unusual yellow-green, it's iris a dual layer instead of a human's singular band.]
A variation. I was surprised to learn how many of them there are spread between worlds.
no subject
Even confined to one world, many countries have their own mythos surrounding the Reaper, it's hardly surprising that there would be variations in what actually exist.
no subject
Well, now that you've figured my identity out what will you do?
no subject
[He looks almost surprised at the question.]
Why would I want to do anything with it? The puzzle is the thrill.

the core, prophet eyes
Maybe.
[He tilts his head, not looking afraid.]
But I think if that's what they intend, they won't like the fight on their hands when they try it.
no subject
Do you really think you ought to be saying that? You look as though you might blow away at the slightest breeze...
no subject
[He's a little annoyed at being laughed at, pulling himself as straight as he can with pride.]
And I'm not the only one here who would be fighting.
no subject
[Coming closer, he peers down at Al to get a better look at him and even crouches down to narrow their difference in height.]
But who knows? Maybe we'll be invited to a chat over tea, instead.
no subject
I don't think I'd go that far, and I hope nobody will need to go down fighting, but-- if that's what it comes to, isn't it better to put it all on the line in the pursuit of freedom?

Good thing I'm not one, then.

the core
Maybe. [ Do they, though? ] I don't suppose you'd know why.
no subject
Who knows? Contamination or a fear that we'll be taken over by an outside entity, perhaps? It's difficult to say.
no subject
But then they'd have to start all over to meet their population quota. At least, that's what we've been told.

There's the Prophet. That might explain the song that we all heard earlier.
