[log] I Need a Doctor [closed]
Characters: John Watson, Franken Stein, and Death the Kid
Location Building 39
Date: Day 172
Summary: Traveling to new and exciting parts of the map that haven't actually been explored all that much. And talk of frostbitten appendages.
Warnings: Potential amputation
[This house seems very ordinary--the first floor has a kitchen, bathroom with only a toilet and sink, living room, and dining room, while the second floor has a master bedroom, second bedroom that seems set up as a guest bedroom, and a second bathroom that includes a shower. Many porcelain dolls have been put up in nice places around the house. They all face a wall. "ALPHONSE ELRIC, STEPH BROWN, MAMI TOMOE, FREYA CRESCENT, EDWARD ELRIC, DAY THIRTY, TRAVELLING NORTH." has been carved into one of the walls.]

As he still doesn't have the use of his hands, John's rather limited on what he can actually do. So, he'll have to rely on his companions.]
Don't suppose you feel like checking those dolls for SD cards?

But his hands can't manage that much detail work, can barely manage to pick up a doll and toss it into the air and catch it again.
Two fingers on his right hand, two and a half on his left. That's what he hasn't been able to thaw out enough to salvage. But with Kid around, he hasn't been able to do anything else about the frostbite.]
Should we break some of them? [He's been grinning a lot recently, too much energy and too little sleep and too much adrenaline.] Kid is surprisingly talented at smashing things.

Instead he brushes his fingers along the only doll he can reach, careful not to break it.]
I imagine that breaking these dolls will not please anyone. Is there a way to search the inside of the dolls without shattering them?
[A bit sheepish, Kid looks up to the shelf he can't reach.] I unfortunately can't quite reach all of them.
no subject
[Please?]
I'm sure Dr. Stein can reach anything that's too high up. Why don't we see if anything happens when we set them all together facing each other. If we need to, we can probably get inside the body by splitting the seam. The porcelain heads... there's not really any other way about it, as far as I know.

Let's turn them in place first. [Rotate the dolls in place, then bring them together, then smash.]
Sorry for late ;_; also idk how to word this
[Kid is feeling a bit useless. He can't reach very many of the dolls--so he quickly turns the one he can to face into the center of the room and then looks for a way to get enough height to access the others. He's ultimately choosing to climb on an old kitchen chair, wobbly but still intact, to get to the dolls he can't reach.
It's tedious but he slowly makes his way around the room. it isn't as though Kid can't manage tedious household tasks--this sort of meticulous repetition is second nature to him even if the climbing is not.]
There. That's this room, at least.

And absolutely nothing happens.]
Hmm... See anything coming up, lads? Kid, there's a mini-torch on the keyring in my pocket. Pull it out and you can use it to look around for SD cards, yeah?
no subject
Nothing yet. [Stein says, as he glances around the room at the dolls he can see.]
