Good morning, everyone. I told a number of people I would share the results of my conversation with the Admin, Eve, regarding her ability to correct 'mental imbalances' that might lead to violent impulses. I thought it best to provide what information I got from her with the whole group.

The upshot of that:

Eve can 'fine tune' the nanites in our brains for a particular purpose. This will have no effect on MN poisoning symptoms except to make people not care about them.
Use of the treatment requires patient consent. That's non-negotiable given the requirements for a declaration of mental incompetency under the NIMA system.
While the fine tuning is considered an ethical treatment in extreme cases of violent psychopathy, it is considered unethical to try to treat MN Poisoning.
We may be able to alleviate some of the worst instances of MN Poisoning with blood transfusions. I'm presently looking for the equipment I'd need to do that.
Eve was born in Washington D.C. and used to work for the U.S. government.

As an additional note on medical supplies: I've informed the other doctors, but for those newly arrived and those seeking medical assistance, we are beginning to run low on certain medication types.

The relative medical stocks stand as such:

Low-grade Painkillers: Low
Mid-grade Painkillers: Acceptable, restock requested
High-grade Painkillers: Acceptable
Specialized Medication: Acceptable
Radiation Medication: Critically low

I've also been previously informed that the emergency medical response injections are out and will take 200 days to restock. That was at a point that would put us past the projected end of this session... or whatever we're calling out time here.

Well, I think Ecks gave you the goal, more or less. Brian's got a key card from Robert Miller that we've been told should be able to get us through the wall that's up around the center of the city. It's a matter of figuring out where he can stick it to get the door to open up.

Reckon it's probably in the south. They're gonna make us go all the way around the spiral before we can reach it.

why is brian the one who has it

Because his friend Tim found it originally, and I guess he handed it off to Brian before he died. I know it's not ideal. But it is what it is for now. No one has tried to take it away from him; I think it's the last thing he has from Tim.

so in other words trying to get it from him would be asking for trouble with a handwritten invitation

You're not the only one who doesn't want him to have it. I think maybe working with Beckett would be the best way to get it back. He knows Brian, and Brian trusts him. At least as far as I can tell. Unless you think you can get Jade to get it from him and pass it off to someone else.

I can at least talk to Brian, if you'd like. Nat and Clint aside, he doesn't really know them very well. We've been dealing with one another longer.

i didnt talk to jade about it when i got the message last night because i didnt want to raise brians suspicions
ill tell her later because she deserves to know and maybe shell get why i made the point i did better
but timing is important
and you know how it went the last time i made a big fuss about someone being dangerous

even if i did i doubt brian would agree with me and tell everyone to stay away
and i especially dont want jade getting hurt by this because shes the one clinging to his side like shes fucking superglued there
so any drama about it would hit her before anyone else

[John sighs. It would take more time and energy than he has to explain how the situations are different between Bucky and Brian. Brian might be lashing out for fear, like Bucky, but Bucky's well aware of this issues and wants to correct them compared to Brian who will swear up and down that he's not sick and everyone who says otherwise is a liar. At least that's the impression the doctor's gathered from him.]

Speaking privately with a few select people isn't quite that, but I understand you wanting to be careful, and I do appreciate you taking that care. I'm not sure who else is close to Jade apart from Brian who might be able to back you on things when you do, eventually, speak with her, but it might be a good idea to keep an eye out for some of those people. A few allies she trusts, too, never hurt.

the thing about jade is i tried to talk to her about brian once already
she wouldnt listen

she kept deflecting with these arguments like
oh kidnapping clayton doesnt count because i wasnt here
you cant treat him like a normal person because hes mentally ill
or he only threatens people who are dangerous
and thats what led to this now
so

[He pauses. Jade and Brian were a stressful topic to begin with, and now there's the new mess that cropped up just earlier with learning this place has a deadline for solving it. It's so much on his mind, but he can't set any piece of it down.]

[Honestly, it sounds like Jade needs an intervention, and she, Brian, and Davesprite all need therapy. Massive amounts of therapy. It also seems like the kid is, at least, on top of thinking about everything logically. That's a little troubling, in and of itself, for a teenager.]

Please just remember when it comes down to it that you don't have to deal with this all on your own, okay? It sounds like a lot for one person. I know you said you're talking to Nat and Clint. I'm here as a resource, too, even just to talk, if you need it.

[Davesprite has way more problems than Watson is even aware of, but he's a Strider. He was taught to keep it in and keep going anyway, and the alternate timeline that made him what it is just hammered it in.]
