Good morning, everyone. I told a number of people I would share the results of my conversation with the Admin, Eve, regarding her ability to correct 'mental imbalances' that might lead to violent impulses. I thought it best to provide what information I got from her with the whole group.

The upshot of that:

Eve can 'fine tune' the nanites in our brains for a particular purpose. This will have no effect on MN poisoning symptoms except to make people not care about them.
Use of the treatment requires patient consent. That's non-negotiable given the requirements for a declaration of mental incompetency under the NIMA system.
While the fine tuning is considered an ethical treatment in extreme cases of violent psychopathy, it is considered unethical to try to treat MN Poisoning.
We may be able to alleviate some of the worst instances of MN Poisoning with blood transfusions. I'm presently looking for the equipment I'd need to do that.
Eve was born in Washington D.C. and used to work for the U.S. government.

As an additional note on medical supplies: I've informed the other doctors, but for those newly arrived and those seeking medical assistance, we are beginning to run low on certain medication types.

The relative medical stocks stand as such:

Low-grade Painkillers: Low
Mid-grade Painkillers: Acceptable, restock requested
High-grade Painkillers: Acceptable
Specialized Medication: Acceptable
Radiation Medication: Critically low

I've also been previously informed that the emergency medical response injections are out and will take 200 days to restock. That was at a point that would put us past the projected end of this session... or whatever we're calling out time here.

Biometrics, doesn't work. I promised someone I'd leave the NIMA option alone, anyway. Much as I hate taking it off the table, we may just have to figure out another way to deal with him. Or someone else will have to figure out how to do it.

So... another subject. What's this about blood transfusions? [He doesn't wanna talk about this, but if he doesn't ask, he'll just feel more anxious.] You're gonna give people your blood? I know you're the doctor here, but I gotta say, this sounds like a bad idea. How are you even gonna know it's the right type? What if it doesn't last long?

Or what if... Say somebody gets real used to not having those symptoms anymore. A person's only got so much blood, you know.

At the moment, I'm not in a position to donate blood, myself, but it would be my plan to do so once I'm healed up. The issue of blood types was raised when I first discussed the idea with Alfie. I raised it myself. I'm not unaware of the potential danger there. I've found that I can request blood types from the Admin. She's not able to provide full medical records on us, but we can at least get those. We also have people who know their blood types and those who already requested their medical records previous to the Admin's shutdown of that information.

If it doesn't last very long, that's something we'll sort out how to deal with. We need to try it first to see if it has any effect in the first place. This is theoretically for people who are suffering from the most extreme and dangerous forms of MN Poisoning--people like Beckett who could go mad and kill someone, or Alfie, whose sickness is posing a serious risk to his ability to even just move around.

Wait, you can just... find out peoples' blood types? Like the Admin'll just tell you? [Whoa now. That's edging into something a little bit scarier. Because Charles knows his, and he would prefer if other people didn't. Not if having viable donor blood becomes a commodity around here. Speaking of which.]

Okay but say it does work, and say more people than just the worst ones want relief. Or say the worst ones don't want to go back to being in pain or whatever. You get what I'm getting at, here?

I know we gotta help people, but... I think this could maybe get out of hand.

No. The people I found out for gave their specific permission to the Admin for me to ask about their blood types.

Are you all right, though, Charles? This wasn't meant to frighten anyone. We're not even at the point where we can offer transfusions. We don't have the equipment for it. And the fact that we're all so spread out is going to make doing transfusions very difficult. We're going to need to have two people with the appropriate blood type in the same place at the same time. We're going to continually need fresh needles and the like. I'm not going to risk infection here. This was always going to be a limited-use system if we can get everything together for it.

Maybe you intend it to be limited use, maybe you don't want to risk infection, but not everyone's going to go along with that.

[Aaaand it just catches up to him that Watson seems to think there's something wrong. Is there something wrong? God, maybe he sounds like a crazy person.]

I'm... It's fine. I'm okay. [Though he does sound a bit like he might be trying to convince himself of that.]

... This is stupid, isn't it?

It's not stupid, but it does sound extremely paranoid, Charles. That's why I asked if you're feeling all right. Do you usually get this anxious at home?

[Paranoid? He's just being sensical here. He's seen people take advantage of things like this, it's not crazy. But... Hmm. He hasn't really thought about it before, but maybe he is being a little weird. Jumping at shadows, assuming everyone's out to get him. In a place like this, that attitude just makes sense, but... maybe it doesn't, actually.]

I mean... There's stuff I don't like, sure, but I guess I'm not usually this...

I don't usually talk like this, now that I think about it. It's... been a weird few days.

[He switches over to voice, even though he sounds nasally.]

It's been a weird few months. There are legitimate reasons to be on edge here, mate. I don't doubt that. But just... think this out logically, yeah? There are ways people can exploit this, but it's gonna be a hell of a lot of work and really not worth it in the end. Especially if we can't even find all the equipment we need.

Just try to give it a chance to work before we worry about it going off the rails, all right?

Stuff? [He sounds confused and concerned. Perhaps whatever part of that 'stuff' is explains why Charles is so nervous about medical procedures.]
