[He sounds faux affronted, putting on a huffy show even though he doesn't actually feel bothered. Sarcasm is Iron Man's default, and he's in a relatively good mood, but he also doesn't like this guy. And why does being exposed feel so painful? He can't place it. Usually he's comfortable with conversations, even with jerks. He knows his way around smartasses.]

But alive and in one piece. No flaws. Whatever tech they're using to revive us, it does the job. And if you're going to ask me if I'm missing any pieces like the guide says I should be, you can see for yourself.

[John feels compelled to chime in here now that it's a little bit of distance from the announcement of Fiona's death and that whole mess.]

There is something missing for you and very off, sir. You've acted strange any time someone's referred to you as Tony or Mr. Stark. You're Iron Man, right? Tony Stark is Iron Man. I reckon you've lost that somehow.

[His answer is... not harsh, but cold. A working man that has no extreme love for his boss. He isn't angry or outright cruel about being called Tony, but he is dismissive. As if he'd ever put on those shoes, not for all of Stark's money. The hero and the financier aren't the same.]

Currently suffering a panic attack at being forced to confront reality. Take your pulse, how erratic is it?

[At least complying with an order gives him something to focus on. He's not stuck freaking out about how short his breath has been coming.]

[He needs a psychiatrist. Split personality disorder, while fairly interesting, is not something he can treat. He isn't a complete arse, though, so he will at least try and stop this man from passing out.]

Focus on your breathing. In through your nose for a slow count of five, out through your mouth for a slow count of five. If your breathing or pulse has not improved in two minutes, contact a medical professional.

[And then he hangs up. Because he's given the help, he doesn't want to stick around and actually see it through.]
