[network] @standardissue; Catch a tiger by the toe [open] [Day 158, after lockdown]
[Kunsel doesn't have his helmet on when he turns the video feed on, mostly because he feels like this is something important enough that people need to see his expression, to know how deadly serious he is. His eyes glow faintly in the darkness that comes after nightfall, though it's washed out slightly by the light being cast by the tablet.]
To anyone in the Entrance area, or anyone who might end up here, there's a situation in the fire station you need to be aware of.
[As though to punctuate his statement, something behind him rattles, like someone behind a door trying to get out. Kunsel takes this as his cue to turn the tablet's camera to focus on a door that's been blocked by a bed, with the door's handle handcuffed to the frame itself. It's hard to make out in the light, but on the door itself, written in thick black marker, are the words "OPEN WITH CAUTION. MONSTER INSIDE."]
Last night when we stopped here, an anomaly emerged from one of the mirrors in the bathroom. Half humanoid, half insect, and it looked like a mirror itself. We only barely managed to block it inside the bathroom. We left this morning, then came back tonight.
[The door rattles again.]
And it's still here.
[He turns the tablet back toward himself now, still grim and serious.]
If you can, I'd recommend avoiding the fire station entirely. We don't know how well this setup might hold. If you can't, then don't unblock the door, even if you think the anomaly is gone.

[It's something he'd seen with the Heartless back home so he's not really surprised...
But he is terrified. Just a little bit.]
Or has this happened before?

[This question is actually a bit confu and for them.]
They used to just be like... Shadows, and they didn't try to do things like open windows. It's like they're learning.
[Video now]
I thought so. I remember being told that they were just kind of..ghost like? But if you can lock one inside a room...either something in that room is keeping them inside it or they've evolved to be more solid now which could work in our favor, right?

[He isn't near their caged in anomalies, however, and at the moment he's definitely glad for it. Being shot and knocked out by anomaly web was not enjoyable.]
However, little do I know if our captives will remain as such. If yours is truly trapped, then there may yet be a deeper benefit than merely keeping the beast at bay.
@standardissue; audio
You trapped an anomaly, too?

how?
from behind or from within?

[ Because that's clearly the most important issue here. Well - one of them. Because... ]
Also, I do not think that you should keep him in the bathroom. People get cranky when someone spends a lot of time in the bathroom, and they start yelling, and calling the person in the bathroom mean names, and then they get extra mad when they find out you used all the shaving foam to make a small snowman.
@standardissue; audio
...you do realize that the anomalies try to kill people, right?

It was either trapping it or letting it run loose to chase us all night long. It was inside with us after lockdown.

@donner; video
Ah! You actually caught one! I mean, we caught some too, but yours stayed! When we went to check on ours a little bit ago, they were gone, but you're saying yours is still in that room? That's amazing! Do you have anything you could slip under the door to observe it? Any way to try and take a sample of what it's made out of? Do you have pictures of what it looks like? Have you tried touching it or affecting it with anything? Tell me everything!
[Hange only stops because of a little inconvenience called needing to breathe. They're practically vibrating over on their end, despite the fact that they look incredibly tired and have a face covered in small cuts and bandages.]
Oh, and cabose up there is right. You should name it!
@standardissue; video
[Naming something encourages sentimentality, even empathy, and no way Kunsel wants to become attached to this thing.]
We tried taking a sample, but it just pulls its arms back. It didn't have any reaction to either the electricity or ammonia we tried to use on it. The hockey stick we tried to use to pin its arm just went right through. We can't get a tablet under the door with the way things are set up right now, and moving anything would risk letting it out.
And no, we didn't try to touch it. Hasn't anyone warned you what happens when an anomaly makes contact with someone?

@LELRIC; audio
I've never heard of an anomaly appearing inside or still being there days later, that's-- that's actually really worrying. Do you think you could leave a sign outside the fire station for anyone who doesn't see this?
@standardissue; audio
I can try to leave a sign, but I'm not sure how much good it'll do. With the way the weather's been lately, and with how far apart the buildings here are, there's not much chance anyone could backtrack if they decide they don't want to risk it.
[They can hope that the weather will get better, but he's been here long enough to know that it's rarely all that good.]
