[network] voice @expostfacto; Clothing needed [open] Night 158
[When she'd made her introductions the day before, there'd been the slightest of tremors to her voice. Now, she's not even sure she could hide the full-blown shake in it if she tried.]
This whole "search around until you find something more suitable for the weather" thing may work for some people, but it's not working for me. I've been searching for two days, and I've found a napkin and a pair of socks. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up.
[She's grateful for the socks in particular. She's been able to work the napkin into something makeshift with some clothespins she found, but it wasted a lot of time checking it to make sure it didn't fall off. And in the end, her legs were still virtually numb by the time she stopped in a new shelter. The night before had been particularly bad. There was a time for pride, and this wasn't it.]
Particularly, I need something to cover my lower half more thoroughly. I don't exactly have much to offer right now, just some of the things I've found so far. But I'll be damned if I'm going to die here.
Pretty sure I'm east of the chapel. Let me know if you're in the area and willing to trade.
[Or accept an IOU. In any case, that was done. She sets her tablet back down, wrapping herself more thoroughly up in her jacket again, trying get feeling back into her legs. Preventing hypothermia was a tricky beast. To avoid frostbite, you needed to keep heat in your extremities, even as it fled to your core. At the same time, if you did lots of movement and exercise, you risked building up a sweat, which would drain your body heat even faster.
The socks really did help, at least.]

how close are you to freamon's tunnels?
bring food to the museum
i'll trade you these
[She'll receive a snapped photo of a set of women's designer boots.]

Really not an ideal trade in this instance. All I have is less than a week's worth of the rations we all supposedly get when we arrive here. And if I'm constantly burning energy to keep from freezing, I'm going to need it. I can try to get more, but that'll take time, which isn't a luxury for me at the moment.
1/2
i've got a pair of stockings, too
[Another photo is sent over of some women's winter stockings.]
you can bring me food and other crap later
or i'm gonna try something...

Well as someone who's still literally freezing her ass off after two days of searching, you're not really doing a great job of it.

I was stuck with just my shorts for awhile, too. Try heading west to the school. There's usually sweatpants in the shed for gym supplies! They're all child sized clothes, but...if there's a few pairs there, you can maybe make them work together?
[It's the best he can think of. Even if he was close by, he wouldn't have anything helpful to offer.]
Clothes and fabric to make clothes out of seems to be the hardest thing to come across.
@expostfacto; voice
Tell me about it.
[The suggestion doesn't help her immediate situation, but it does give her some sort of idea where to possibly head after this. Which is definitely better than nothing.]
Home ec was never really my thing in high school, but there's probably some way they could be used. Thanks.

[She'll find a way to make it through. It won't be fun until things are a bit more stable, but she will not just give up.]

[Phi seems kind of like a superhero. She's tough and scary, but in the good kind of way! Kind of like his Grandpa. But stronger since she's young.]
I'm sure you'll find something! And then you can take over the town!

[Following Doctor House's lead, she attaches a picture of what looks like a nice, warm nightgown - though one that's too short to give the kind of coverage you'd want in this weather. It's definitely been worn, but it's all in one piece still and not especially grungy.]
do you have fake animals
no subject
[What kind of request is that? Unlike House's initial request though, this one could be used for layering, even if it's not exactly what she's looking for and covers areas she already does have some coverage on. Something else with sleeves in particular is a bonus.]
I guess I could keep an eye out for any, if you want?

also knives
how far east ofthe chapel?

[She does have a corkscrew, but she would like to have something to defend herself with if things really do go badly, so it's not on the table quite yet.]
I believe I'm building 63 on this map.
[Attached is House's map that Stephanie linked on the arrival post.]

it is not far from you
if i give you this later you must give me fake animals

Also I double checked my own movements and pretend Phi said House 58, not 63 up above

You may cut the fabric away from furniture if you wish; it's not very thick, but it's better than nothing at all, and can cover a decent amount. The components of a mattress where I first woke were invaluable in my own survival.

[He's confirming what she's suspected about that, actually. And that she'll have more luck pilfering from the houses themselves and their pre-existing contents, rather than relying on Admin handouts.
Shit luck for anybody who came after though, as she's already noticed.]
no subject
[Of course that would run its course, especially since he couldn't possibly have been the only one.]
I'm sorry. Th-there must be something. What else is around you?
no subject
[A few candid shots are included of the interior of House 101 at the moment. Thanks Vanitas.]
Might be something here or there I can try to use, though.

[He thinks about it a moment. Where would people not go?]
...The buildings in the southeast are less likely to be as tampered with, I think; there aren't any reliable food sources or things of import there. Unless you've had other plans all along, of course - far be it from me to interrupt a trade or gift you have planned with someone else.
[There are plenty of buildings, after all, and more people than him talking to her.]

[Kinda sucked how bad travel was here. Getting around Rhizome-9 had been bad enough at times, here it was just awful.]
Thanks, though. I appreciate it.
