[She's been thinking about this for days and days now. She's thought about it since House said it was stupid to keep everything a secret and that she'd get more sympathy if she was honest about her age. Since Beckett didn't understand why it was a secret at all. Then since Watson told everyone she was a murderer, but then told Clint she was trying to be a good girl.

Since she ran away from Clint and his people this morning even though he didn't try to hurt her once he knew what she had done to Duster.

She waits until after lockdown just in case they are all wrong and someone will try to find her after this. The video opens with her looking into the camera, her scarf bunched around her neck but her patchwork face clearly on display. Her expression is blank, her voice toneless.]

My name is Ecks and I am not human. I have decided that it is not a secret anymore. I am a golem made out of dead people, but I am a person and that is the part that is important. I am two years old and a few months and I have decided that I do not want to hurt or kill people when I do not have to, and that is also important. Doctor House and Beckett say that it does not matter what I am and I think I would be happy if that is true.

[It seems like there should be more than that to say, but she just stares a moment longer before turning off the camera. She will not bring up the murder if she does not have to.]

Duster says he will not hurt Doctor House again. I do not think I will have to hurt Duster again. I do not want to hurt Duster again. I do not want to hurt people.

I know. I know you don't want to hurt people and hopefully, everyone else will stay civil now they've learned where some of the boundaries are.

I want them to stay away from Doctor House and from you and from me. I do not trust them.

[Well, this is a little awkward.]

Uh... Ecks. Alfie and I are... [This is very awkward, especially in light of what she seems to have read from his casebook.]

We're friends now - allies. I don't trust him very much on some things, but I don't think he's gonna hurt me. Not sure about Duster, but I've been making a point of it to stay out of his way. Neither of them have forgiven me, but we can still work together to get out of here.

They are not together? But they are boyfriends. I thought they always traveled together, because they are boyfriends.

... What? No. They're not... no. They aren't boyfriends, Ecks; they're just friends. At the moment I'm a little southeast of the school. Duster's over in Hsiaoke Pass.

[All expressions of doubt regarding Watson's judgment of that relationship die on her tongue.]

...That is where Doctor House is.

[Watson. Watson. Why did you not share this info earlier?]

That is where I am going.

[There's a drawn out pause.]

Oh. Um... Well, I think Dr. House is with other people, at least?

Other people do not like Doctor House. Other people would not stop Duster from hurting him. Duster said he would not kill him again and I think maybe that is true but I do not like this.

Just because they don't like him, doesn't mean they wouldn't stop someone from hurting him, Ecks. There are people who would defend someone they don't like here. I'm one of them.

Defense of others.

[It's in her rule book, but she hasn't really thought of defending people she doesn't like. That seems like a harder rule to follow.]

Are you going to come help explore the tunnels? Are you going to tell Duster I am coming to where he is?

Not for the moment, no. I'm helping bring supplies to the people at the entrance and helping Tifa follow her app. I'm not going to tell Duster you're coming, but you might like to do it yourself so that you can coordinate avoiding one another.

I do not want to talk to him. I do not want to tell him where I am.

D'you want me to talk to him for you? I don't have to give him specifics, just let him know, generally when you'll be at the entrance to avoid you, and if you'll be taking the north or the south split.

[Much as she'd rather Duster have no idea where she is...maybe him knowing she's coming would not be a bad thing.]

Yes. Tell him I am coming. I do not know which split I am taking but I am coming to meet with Doctor House.
