Really, why do people keep assuming that they've fought people much more skilled than me like that matters? [ Royce sounds baffled. ] You don't have a weapon, and neither do I.

How well do you do with fistfights and hand-to-hand combat?

I don't need a weapon to be able to hold my own in a fight! [He had enough skill from both Ventus and Roxas combined with his own to be able to handle pretty much anything.

Not to say that he was good, necessarily, but he would be able to at least get by.]

I grew up fighting people for food. You get a certain affinity for fighting dirty, in that context - someone like you wouldn't win.

Don't pick fights with people you can't possibly hope to win against. [ This isn't a threat, it's actually... advice. Royce thinks he's helping. ]

How do you know? [He takes offense to that, sir. Because if you have enough drive you can win any fight you get into!] There's always a chance you can win if you fight hard enough and smart enough.

If you fight fairly, sure. [ Sniff. ] I don't.

Neither did any of the others that I fought!

[bywolves]

Then go ahead. Let's see if you can stop me from killing someone tonight. [ He's absolutely not even planning to do so, but he's kind of having fun, here. ] I won't tell you which one or how, but if you don't keep an eye on all of them, you'll wake up tomorrow with a dead body.

[Sora can't help but move forward to invade Royce's personal space then, hands flexing to grip a weapon that isn't there--that won't appear--but it doesn't matter.

I won't let you hurt them! You even look at them the wrong way and I'll take you down! [The words come out in a growl, his temper flaring--thanks Roxas.] You don't scare me! You're just all talk--trying to freak me out! Plus, Cloud and Tifa are stronger than you could ever hope to me so even if I can't stop you, I know without a doubt that they can!

[ Hello, Sora. Royce doesn't move, just stares up at Sora with a little smirk. ]

I haven't touched them, calm down. [ Sniff. ] Do you always react like this? People are going to use that against you.

It doesn't matter if you have or haven't. The fact that you would even joke about it says a lot! [You are infuriating. Even to Sora!]

[bywolves]

I wasn't joking. [ Eye roll. ] I'm only saying you're getting incredibly worked up about something I may or may not do. Especially when people apparently just wake up from the dead.

[His hands twitch again. This guy reminds him a lot of a certain sniper and it's unnerving.]

You shouldn't do it at all! Killing people isn't right!

[bywolves]

[ Ughhhh! Sora, you're getting your Hero all over him! ] Please, spare me the lecture. Right and wrong are ridiculous concepts in a place like this.

Why? Because it's easier for you to just do bad stuff because you can blame it on this place? It's just a convenient excuse for you, isn't it? [He will drip his Heroisms all over you, Royce!]

[bywolves]

No - why do all of you make wild assumptions like that? [ First Zach, now Sora. ] Let me amend that: wrong and right are stupid concepts to begin with. Who decides which is which? Why is your interpretation better than mine?

[seekthelight]

Everyone decides them for themselves, but there's always common things! Killing people isn't right, even if they've done horrible things. Using people? That's not right either. Those are things everyone knows!

[bywolves]

So if I killed someone, what would you do to me?

[seekthelight]

Probably knock you out and detain you. [He doesn't kill people, Royce. God.]

[bywolves]

And knocking me out and locking me up is okay. According to your rules.

[seekthelight]

Yeah, it is. Everyone has a reason for doing what they do and everyone deserves a chance to explain themselves. But that doesn't mean I'm just going to let you walk around!

[bywolves]

And how long would you keep me locked up? The rest of my life? A few days?

[Sora shrugs.] That depends on you.

[bywolves]

I'm not going to change my mind. You'd lock me up and keep me locked up for potentially the rest of my life because my view doesn't match your own.

[seekthelight]

If it meant keeping other people safe, then yeah, I would. I wouldn't like it and I would keep trying to help you understand that you couldn't do those things. [His expression softens into something a little more thoughtful for a moment before he looks determined again.] But protecting people is what I'm suppose to do as a keyblade wielder so that's what I'd do!

[bywolves]

That I i>couldn't - who gave you the authority to decide what's right and wrong?

[ He actually sounds mad, now. ] I'll change the scenario. I kill someone. You lock me up. I tell you I killed that person out of self defense. Is that different to you?
