[Okay. Not his first time waking up in a strange place after being kidnapped. John has to hand it to whomever's done it this time, though. He has literally no idea what's going on. Norfinbury? There's a network of some sort, and... a weird abandoned house. Along with the dead of winter outside. At least he's been left a pack with water and rations. After exploring the house - the other thing that strikes him is that there are no guards - he takes a look at the 'network.']

If this is a joke, Mycroft, it's really not funny.

[Who else could pull something like this off? It's too elaborate. What Mycroft wants with him, he can't imagine, though. They haven't spoken since... well. Since.]

[Landmarks.... landmarks. It takes a few minutes for John to reply as he chances it outside the house and peers about in the gloomy 'light' of say. It's bitingly cold, and he's missing his gloves and scarf.]

[John Watson, like the - Peggy stops and stares at the message for a little while, sort of surprised, and immensely delighted. She devoured the Sherlock Holmes novels when she was a girl, reenacting their adventures with Michael; she often got to play the Watson to his Sherlock.

But, surely, this can't be; Sherlock Holmes and John Watson are fictional, after all. Still, there's no reason not to be polite. Maybe he's a spy too; concealing their identities is something they can't really help, sometimes.]

Dr John Watson, as in - Sherlock Holmes' Dr John Watson? What an excellent pseudonym. [It makes Peggy long for her brother, a comfy chair by the fire and a steaming cup of tea. She wonders if she could find the same kind of small comforts with Steve, once they're out of here.]
