[And now it's time for something completely different.]
So.
Where do you figure the lowest point in Norfinbury is?

The idea is to try and find a path to it.

And they don't want us going there, either.

But Winter does. And as much as I want to leave the spiders to themselves, I think we might have to start reconsidering whose word we ought to take.

[Your brilliant weigh-in from Quark, who is a bit less tense now that House is alive again. Not much less, but a little. He doesn't want to disagree with anyone's thoughts, but...well, it sounds dangerous.]
i just think there has to be another way to open those trapdoors.
dunno how but i do
ive been trying to find a chance to dig around the area where the pond is.
no subject
I could try prying one up with a fire poker or something, but I'm not sure I could get enough leverage to match, you know, a bomb. Maybe something corrosive? Would be tough to make an acid that strong, though, and I'd have no idea how to go about it. Maybe they all require some kind of key that we just haven't found yet.
The pond by the church? [Suddenly very concerned for smol.] There aren't a lot of buildings around there to stay overnight in. Please be careful.
@endureandsurvive; text
For what it's worth, I found a note that said "dig deep" the day I got here.
[So it's not just Winter. Either that or Winter isn't as far away as they thought. Who knew.]

Maybe there's a more subtle way in? A key or something that wears away at it gradually?

You're not the only one thinking Winter's message was literal.
Found one of those trapdoors in the shed I woke up in after we were all abruptly relocated. 114 on House's map. Ice tunnels.
There's a swimming pool up north. 11 on House's map, I think.
For an icy hospital stairwell, we might try heat rather than brute force. If we can get enough fuel, get something metal as a contact against the ice...
text
Swimming pool sounds dangerous if it catches anyone by surprise but it's worth looking around in, if anyone hasn't already.
...Like taking the wall to a soldering iron or something? How would we do that? I have plenty of metal stuff and some matches, but something tells me that's not quite enough for what we need.

Text, @Griever
We can probably create some kind of makeshif pickaxe if we cooperate, I can't cut metal here but I think something can be adjusted with metal pipes and all. Exactly like we could try to create leves to attempt to open the trapdoors.
Melting the wall with heat is a good idea but would require a lot of coordination, fuel and people willingly to take turns to stay there: depending on the wall's thickness it may take forever
text
Liking the idea of a pickaxe. Would it really work faster than fire, do you think? That's a lot of manual labor and probably a lot of metal to rely on.

I have a shovel
when you think of a place I can dig on my own lmk and I'll head that way
not here
text
No, you don't have to say if you don't want to. Sounds like the best place to dig in the neighborhood is that house with the sinkhole. Best place in the tunnels would be the packed stairwell in the hospital. Downtown...not sure, have't explored enough. Would like to find a way into that hotel though. Think you can reach any of those?

Text | @Summoner (meant to tag this sooner!)
But, honestly? I don't think that's the lowest point.
I don't think we've actually found it yet.
text
The lake sounds like it's somewhere along the path, though. Access to it's from the lower floors of the hospital, right? That's got to be deeper than all the other parts of Norfinbury we've been so far.
