He moves away from the bedroom door so that he can see the bathroom window, his breathing quick with alarm. Despite the force with which it hit the house, the window still seems to be intact.]

Seeing that it still can't get inside, though, England scoffs out a noise of disapproval and stomps over to the bathroom to close that door.] Bloody nuisance.
[Pretending (badly) not to be shaken by the appearance of the Canada-monster, England looks down at America, a concerned furrow in his brow.] Are you all right?

Hmph. [That done, he gives the door a baleful look before he steps back. Only then is he satisfied enough to approach America and offer him a hand to help him up.]

Perhaps his hand lingers a bit too long against America's, but he pulls it back without drawing too much attention to the action and then makes sure his knife is safely back in his tool belt.] ...Indeed. It would be wise to focus on something else until we can get some rest.

All right. I'll take the restroom. You look around in here. [He'll even spare America the sight of the monster Canada outside the bathroom! Though he can't do much to ensure it doesn't wander to the other window.]

His cheeky response is a bit delayed, but he manages to half-arse a retort eventually as he searches.] You never know. It's a pretty heavy task.

[England is thankful to have a distraction, at least, from Beardy's awful eyes and his too many teeth. But he can only do so much searching in an empty bathroom, and he thinks he's about done after he lifts the lid of the toilet tank and finds nothing unusual inside.]

...I think I'm done, by the way.

Thankfully, England has some privacy as a shudder wracks his body.] ...so am I.
[Ugh. He takes a few steps back without breaking eye contact with the monster, but he vacates the bathroom after that with some obvious haste.]

So! Find anything?

England adjusts the cuff of his jacket's sleeve, awkwardly keeping the Canada-monster out of his line of sight.] No. I expected as much, though. Fairly certain we found everything of use yesterday.

[But he's not content with leaving such a wide opening to insult him, so he's quick to follow it up with more sass, this time in a bitter attempt to make light of their terrible situation.] Though I don't know if I'll have much of an appetite with the frog's face staring right at me.

Whatever we've got. It's all rubbish. [Convenience store food is terrible. He'll be happy to hit that supermarket downtown when the weather improves. While he speaks, he digs around in his pillowcase for the curtains.] I'll cover the windows while you handle the food.

He does keep glancing at England, though.]

He doesn't even like hot dogs that much, but the smell of food cooking is welcoming, regardless, so he doesn't dawdle too much on the curtain in the bathroom. Only when he emerges does he even catch a hint of America's glancing, but he doesn't notice quickly enough to be convinced it wasn't a figment of his imagination.]
...there. Hopefully they shan't be disturbing us too much now.
