Any other landmarks that aren't 'a lot of snow' or 'an empty house that's falling apart,' doc? Once we figure out where you are, I've got a pretty decent map.

[Landmarks.... landmarks. It takes a few minutes for John to reply as he chances it outside the house and peers about in the gloomy 'light' of say. It's bitingly cold, and he's missing his gloves and scarf.]

It's sunrise - tablets are messed up, anything with an actual time or date on it has been stripped from the whole place. Let's see…

Long story short: you've been kidnapped and thrown into an abandoned town on a planet called Earth, country United States, state Alaska. We don't know by who. Get into shelter as soon as the tablet warns you to or you'll freeze to death. The shadows you see wandering around outside are harmless, but don't follow them because they don't go anywhere interesting. Anything else you see coming at you? Run inside as soon as you can, lock everything down. You can't fight them and touching one will kill you.

Good news, though, I know exactly where you are and you're not too far from food that's better than what you woke up with. Here.

Yeah, no problem. You're in the part of town that's been pretty much mapped so you should be alright, but if you've got questions I've been around a while.

There are plenty of us not from Earth, but from what I've figured out that's not really what you mean by 'alien.' Most of us are human - for a long time I thought that was what we all had in common, but there are a few that aren't.

My parents were some of the only humans I knew growing up. There just aren't that many on my planet.

It's aliens to me, but as far as we can tell we're being held captive by some sort of malfunctioning robot - or at least that's how whoever has us captive communicates with us. You wake up with a message from @admin?
