[network catch-all] Subjectivity [NIGHT 91/MORNING 92][warning for potential gore/general horror]
[All of the tablets fail for an hour after lockdown, displaying only snowy static. And it's not as if sleep is possible--insomnia runs wild over Norfinbury, making it very difficult to get any sleep at all. But, after an hour, the tablets seem to be in working order again. Maybe you can talk to the other travelers to pass the time? But who knows what they might say or do...]

*The video update tonight is pretty dull. Snow and rubble and Brian's distortions then a return to the souvenir shop from the previous night.
Except when viewed that night they never make it back to the shop and it seems there are things lurking around every turn. Staticy and uncertain anomalies, strange ogre-like beings and, most often, a inhumanly tall, pale shape in black.
The few glimpses of Brian's traveling companion they get are, at first, normal. Then after a panorama shot of rubble and tall, tall men there's another glimpse of--holy shit is that a werewolf? On fire?! Whatever it is does not look happy but Brian doesn't seem to pay any attention to it.
Maybe its too bad, because shortly after turning away from her there's a flash of green light and static. The picture becomes unclear as the tablet goes tumbling but eventually comes to a rest on a plain old shot of snow. Well, snow and a rapidly expanding pool of blood, but nothing else (including possible sources) are visible.
The video ends there. Wonder how it got sent out.*

Only that it's full of anomalies. He can feel his stomach drop and everything feels cold as he sees them. This can't be happening.]
Frickin hell! Brian look out! [And his warning might be too late. SHIT] Brian? Talk to me man. Where are you? Please be okay.
[And what Brian will actually hear from Zell's in the sound of static and the sickening sound of bones breaking.]

this?
*Except what Zell gets is just a bunch of garbled characters. Huh.*

Brian will hear him coughing. It gets progressively worst as if he's drowning
or maybe hit with a certain sickness that might sound very familiar to Brian. He'll only talk after the coughing subsides-]

It's all over the sink.
There's some anomaly outside the window.
He looks pretty freaky.
When I get closer to it I keep coughing.

Tonight, it means he's too late.
He stares at the screen for a long time. Lost time, perhaps, but then what can he do? Once that thought crystalises, cutting through the numb shock, the weight of its helplessness settles in his limbs like lead. He can't bring himself to try and send a message out. Just like that. Just as before. Not even a misstep, just bad luck. There goes the searcher and there ends the search.
But there is blood. That finally gets through to him, because of course it does. He'd heard of plenty of deaths by anomaly. There was never blood. He'd have remembered.
The message finally goes out, through it sounds weak, defeated.]
Brian? Jade? Answer me, if you're alive.

I'm sorry. I can't go back. I need to - [keep watch for Angel's sake. He's making a choice here, he knows. And he hates that.] keep a promise. I'll find you if you're alive. [And that is a promise too, now.]
Be alive. Please.

Uh, Brian? What is this supposed to mean? [ In case he can't tell she's referring to his network post, she holds up her tablet and points to it. This is really weird, even for him. ]

I know you don't think stuff like this is creepy, but surely you can see how talking about hearing "voices" is a little unusual.

[ Jade had been giving him a pretty wide berth since The Disagreement, but this is too weird; she moves closer to Brian so they're not confusedly waving their tablets at each other from halfway across the room. ]
Look. [ She points at the creepy nonsense (which, of course, looks perfectly normal to him) on her screen. ]

*She's acting weird so he doesn't know how close he wants her to him, but he lets her get closer to show off her tablet. Nothing looks odd to him.*
