Text - ID: Witch ✦ Day 006 - Late Morning

There were more announced deaths today. One of the names on the list is someone I recognize. Has anyone talked to or meet a boy named Roxas? [She's been trying to ignore how she feels about this recent discovery, but it's affecting her more than she wants to admit right now. How did she miss him here? How did he die here?]

[Wait, what? Someone else from home? Given the ID, he's got a hunch who it might be, but he's not going to tip his hand just yet.]

You know Roxas?

[And she's been stalking the network a fair bit, but with exhaustion, it's hard to keep information straight all the time. So she might have her thoughts on who this is but...]

Yes. I hadn't realized he was here. Why?

I hadn't realized, either; the obituary was the first I'd seen of him at all. How do you know him?

I helped him try to understand himself.

[It's not the best way to describe their relationship, but she's not sure if 'friends' is appropriate either.]

[All right, he's pretty sure he knows who it is, now, but he's a little confused. Hadn't she merged with Kairi? He puts a filter on the conversation, in case she's worried about her identity getting out.]

Naminé? That you? Last time I saw you, you and your cloaked friend had done me a pretty big favor. I kinda still feel like I owe you one.

[If it's really Naminé, she'll know what he's talking about. ... Unless she's like Demyx and the last thing she remembers is from ages ago for some reason. He's still not sure what to think about that.]

[And now with that, she knows who this is. But that didn't make sense either. He blew himself up to save Sora and Roxas. How could this place rip Nobodies from nothing and from their Somebodies?]

You don't owe me anything, Axel. You've helped me before too. If anything, we'd even by now.

[It's a strange sort of comfort to know that he's here, since it also plagues her with the questions of his current well being. Among other things.]

[Welp, that's that. He flips on the video feed and gives a thin smile.]

Actually, it's, ah... it's Lea now. Kind of a long story.

Are you okay? Any idea where you're at?

[Lea? She knows the significance of that name, so the only question is just... why?

She flips on the video feed too, looking probably more tired than normal. She is not used to this kind of weather at all, and it doesn't help that the walls behind her are blackened with paint. Still, she tries to smile.]

I'm all right. I'm not... really sure where I am though. It's not exactly easy to get around in this snow.

[His smile broadens a little when her face appears in the tablet. He honestly missed her--she hit the nail on the head when she accused him of being lonely, when they'd traveled in the Corridors together. He's just not good at being all alone, and maybe he never has been.]

It's good to see you, I'm glad you're okay. [He's being quite sincere.] Have you done any searching of your surroundings? If you can find a landmark of some sort, maybe I can find you. I'm traveling with a young woman named Zelda right now, and I think she's looking for a friend, too.

A little bit. Walking around in the snow is... it's harder than I expected. [Her smile turns sheepish. It really shouldn't be something she's embarrassed by, but this whole place is out of her league.] I've only found a few buildings-- mostly houses-- and a few items that were inside them. I... haven't seen anyone else yet.

A friend?

I guess you've never seen snow before, have ya? It's pretty fun when you're prepared for it, but... the novelty of this place wore off pretty quickly.

Yeah, you know, a friend. Like somebody whose company she enjoys? [He gives her a wry grin; he's yanking her chain a little.] I think after everything that's happened, we qualify as friends, don't you?

Not particularly. A friend of yours?

More of an acquaintance. We didn't know each other very well, but we are both from the same place.

Didn't know Roxas was here. I should probably find him if he is though. I need to talk to him about something.

I don't think you should. No one seems to know where he might have been last and it might not be a good sight.

[Being that he'd be dead and all.]

How did you know him?

We used to work together. Are we sure he's actually dead though?

No, I hadn't spoken to him.

[He sounds sorry, guilty even. At least this answers the question of if those who died were real or illusions.]

I'm so sorry.

[That's something she picks up on, though Namine's not sure why he would he that way. This boy barely knew him.]

There's nothing to apologize for, but thank you for letting me know.

Did you speak to him before-- before it happened?

[It would be too cruel if she hadn't, he can't imagine seeing the name of someone he knows on the list of the dead without even knowing they were here.]

Here? No, I didn't. I haven't seen anyone in person in a few days and I don't think he talked on this network.

Not again.

[This is Klaus all over again, this is why it's important to talk on the network to others and not struggle through alone.]

Do you know if anyone talked to him? Has anyone come forwards?
