[network] @totheark; Text/Video; Night 75 (after lockdown), Good Night [open] [cw: impending death]
*After that cheerful message the post switches over to video. Its notably dark and lit only by the tablet's backlight and starts with a shot of Brian's masked face. The red frowny face might seem more fitting than usual. After a few moments he swings the tablet around to show a piece of rubble that he's written "GOODBYE" on in blue crayon. It holds there for about 5-10 seconds before the post switches back to text.*

((ASCII85 code at the end translates to "sorry." Brian'll respond in text until he becomes too weak to do so.))

What were you even doing?
[Dude, no. Don't die. :<]

*He's pretty detached about it, but is hoping he'll come back.*
text;
Do you have anything to help shield yourself?
Maybe look for some rubble to use to make a shelter.
[Brian might be weird and dangerous, but he doesn't want him to die.]

Most people don't, do they. Clarke didn't. Lancer didn't. Ellana didn't. Alex didn't.
He tries to type through the rapidly-encroaching panic attack, but it's a slow process. His hands are shaking badly and it's hard to breathe - especially with his cough forcing out every breath that he manages to take in - and it doesn't take long for matters to reach their inevitable conclusion.
Tim blacks out. For the first time, he sort of welcomes it. ]

It's also not setting this to private. Tim wasn't going to, so why should it???? GOSH. ]

No one wants it to end like this. With no answers.
He's shaky for a while, but he forces himself to respond. Brian doesn't have long to wait for him to find his composure.]
We will carry on the work.
Time until your return will not be wasted.

*He's trusting you to look after/use his only friend Beckett. Do you know what this means? Cause, at the moment, he doesn't really. He just thinks Beckett can be trusted, has been good to work with, and would be intelligent enough to know how to best use Masky. And, hopefully, take care of him.*

And if Brian does not return - can he do this to Tim? Give him this final push to the world that Tim insists so badly that he isn't falling into? It isn't his decision to make.]
I understand. If he needs help, he can come to me. He will not have to search alone. I will speak to him.
[He sees the conversation Brian and the masked Tim are having - an opportunity to reach out. It will have to do. There are things he won't promise, not even to ease a dying man's mind.]
I've been trying to make Other Time understand. Perhaps I will succeed eventually.

Hey!
If you don't want it to end like this, start running or something.

You-- sure there isn't any place to hide or anything? Anywhere?
[He's fairly sure there isn't, but it doesn't hurt to try. Much better than just standing around, waiting for death to take you, anyway! There's always a chance the others who died before just overlooked something.]
