[network] Day 75; @gardenGnostic; Step #1 of the Scientific Method [open]

hello!!
i heard that plant life can be found inside one of the houses and i could not help but take interest
any information would be helpful but i do have a few basic questions:
which house is it? directions are also welcome
what sort of plants are there? you do not have to identify the species, just whether they are flowers/vines/grasses/etc
the guide i read suggested that they are poisonous; is this true? if so then which parts and how is the toxin delivered?
how are the plants getting water?

[ She will trudge to the other side of town in an improvised bio-hazard suit if she has to. ]

my name is jade, by the way! :)

[with steve's help Rydia manages to send you a picture of Plant. Her plant. it haspink leaves and it's being carried around in a small basket and it's all the summoner can offer.]

I can't identif this species but it seems to have some kind of neurotoxin in its leaves that can probably penetrate throught the skin. I only licked a leaf, once, and it was enough to numb my tongue for a while so I... assume it paralizes your muscles, probably to the point even the respiratory sistem fails you.

I am watering her- [yes, it's an her, okay? Rydia even talks with it sometimes] myself, I'm not sure about the other plants, thought.

sometimes it's worth trying. I even tried to use it to capture things outside, without success...

[Sorry. Rydia is getting used to people being angry with her.]

Also, where I'm from most of poisons can be healed with a spell, I was a bit reckless because- it's not a big deal, usually. [Let's skip the fact she's NOT a white mage, she was going to ie anyway]

I probably am, still it's a good thing I learnt a bit about this plant's effect. Especially if you find similar ones around.
...
Sorry, I was still grasping the concept that there's no magic here when I tried.

It's okay, I did a fair share of stupid things since I arrived here.

[She sighs and shakes her head before showing her broken thumb, barely kept in place by a ridicoloud bandage, hopefully the bone will heal correctly if she keeps it 'safe'.]

Lots of stupid things. Anyway, no other ill effects, the pollen or the simple contact with the skin doesn't seem to cause issues. Oh, and... even if I'm costantly carrying her around she doesn't seem to suffer too much for the cold, not like other plants probably would.

I don't think they need any sunshine. They glow in the dark and even if my experience with plants is somehow limited, this is something you generally find in plants that live underground. You know, bioluminiscent chemicals and all to attract creatures to spread seeds or spores...
[Rydia grew up underground, it was a natural connession for her]
Considering she's fine even if she gets little to no sunlight really makes me believe she may be a plant of the depths...

And- I don't. My apologies but I found her when I arrived here... and I still ha to understand how to use maps and all.
