[Well, this is great to wake up to. This along with the illness and the monsters and the fact that House has just discovered someone - Angel, most likely - has stolen one of his bottles of Vicodin. They have other things to do and House has some level of perspective, but his already foul mood just darkens further.]

[ Jim's remembering losing Cloud, and the awful feeling of never knowing for sure what actually happened to him. Knowing what happened to Hiro doesn't really make it better, but at least he's not torturing himself with what-ifs. ]

He died taking on a monster. Got in the way and saved someone's life.

Maybe it was better than watching someone else die here after his brother and Cloud. Or maybe he was just brave and thought he'd come back.

Trying to convince people who are grieving to agree with you about the way Hiro died isn't right. How isn't that selfish? You aren't helping anyone.

i'm telling him how things are
he wants to think his little buddy was a hero
good for him
but he wasn't and him trying to convince me otherwise in some ridiculous bid to hold an idiot kid who couldn't think fast enough up on a pedestal is really annoying
he said his goal was to make things better
