[network] @greed; Day 51 - voice [open]
[For a moment, all there is is silence and static, maybe the sounds of movement.]
So here's a question for all of you-- have you had anyone here from your world where they're not remembering things correctly?
I don't mean little things, like maybe they don't remember things from yesterday, I mean fundamental differences; events having entirely different outcomes, people not being present for certain events.
That sort of thing.
It's been buggin' me for a while, and I want to know if anyone else has experienced it.

If the differences are so big... we could start wondering if this place isn't messing up with our memories as well. I wouldn't be surprised.

If someone's memories are getting messed with, it's... pretty thorough. Not impossible, but it's... odd.
no subject
I wouldn't be surprised if they changed some of our memories. We could eventually see if both... memories work? If they both make sense of one is a blatant lie?
no subject
I know what I remember-- unless it's been tampered with, I suppose. But I don't think I'm being lied to. That seems unlikely.
[...]
Then again, it's not really a lie if people remember things incorrectly.
no subject
Maybe you've both been persuaded to believe different things, maybe you should try to see if there are... inconsistencies between your versions. I'm afraid we all know too little about this place to have a real answe.
no subject
I'll have to see how many differences there are, right now.

Do you have experience with this sort of thing?

It's as good of an idea as any.
audio, @lawbringer
Are you having trouble matching up memories with the Elrics?
no subject
I'm sure they're just as confused as I am.

But basic aspects of our world-- ones they should know about, seem to have changed.
Events the three of us were involved in have changed as well.
[It's pretty annoying.]

[ It's a wild leap, but mania's a hell of a drug. ]
no subject
Well, I don't know about alchemy in particular, since I haven't asked them about that.

There being so many different worlds makes sense, sure. But different versions of one world?
Seems a little weird, doesn't it?

[Events having different outcomes. It almost makes him wonder. If there's a world out there where Tadashi didn't die. He'd take that over anything. Even if it might mean more time before he might properly bond with Baymax and the others in comparison.]
no subject
I don't feel particularly lucky-- it's frustrating, not knowing what's going on.
I don't know if it's happened for anyone else, that's why I'm asking. I don't know how many of us there are right now, but I figured it was worth a shot.

[Hiro did. Until Tadashi didn't make it inside in time. He still hasn't heard from his brother. With Clayton and helping with the wall and all, he hasn't been pushing to get to the morgue either. Not when he fears what they might find there.]

Familiar faces make things easier here, at least that much is a constant.
Even if I have this mystery I need to solve.
