[network/open] @max; video; day 004, late morning

[He was not particularly fond of the fact that these devices could broadcast videos but hey it could come in handy at times. Such as this. On the screen was a bunch of snow but above that snow was a small, black card that resembled an SD card for the tablet being held tentatively between forefinger and thumb. Max had no idea what the thing was for but he took it with him anyway. A quick search of his tablet had found a slot where it might fit. But was that a good idea?]

What does it do?

[The gruff voice was short, to the point, and did not bother to clarify any more than that.]

Have you figured it out?
reimagines: (and we fell into it)

[personal profile] reimagines 2015-06-14 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
And did you do it? Read the card.

[ Will is fairly happy to have something to keep him company after the lock-down. Max might be able to hear footsteps in the background if he listens.

Gingerly, because Will isn't sure if who he's speaking to is just a man of few words or if he's being unfriendly: ]

What was on it?
reimagines: (who do you think?)

[ There's a long delay in reply as Will watches the received video. Re-watches it. Again and again, sharp eyes searching for clues. It all seems fairly... pedestrian in comparison to everything, though, but it's the first confirmation of real, actual, normal people having lived here. Or so he assumes. An insight to what things were like before... this. ]

I wonder what she wished for.

[ A pause. ]

Any idea what they're referring to when they mention a protest? Is there propaganda where you found that? Anything?

Hardly my protesters. More likely to be yours considering you found them. Or rather, didn't find them.

Dead or escaped, I wonder. Neutered in their uprising's infancy, maybe. Not enough information to tell.

I wouldn't know where to start, and I believe you just fine.

[ He isn't offended by the abrupt, short replies. Easier when people say the bare minimum, words stripped down. ]

You should share it. On the network. Have you found anything else interesting?
reimagines: (it went like this:)

[ Is this what it's like for people when they talk to Will when he's closed-off? The thought provides some amusement. ]

I'll remain an interested party if you find anything else. [ A pause. ] What are you interested in?
reimagines: (and the curtains drawn)

[personal profile] reimagines 2015-06-14 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
Asides from the obvious, I should've added. Any objects or pieces of information in particular??

[ Oh, dear. He rolls with it. It's not like it's a bad thing to want, by any means. ]

I'll let you know if I find something that helps you with that, then. If you tell me about anything else you find.

[ Success, even a small one like this, is nice when you're stuck in a wintery hell. Will would offer a smile here if they were face-to-face or on video, but they aren't, so he simply makes a mental note on the man's network tag. He'll check up on him occasionally, he decides. Especially after seeing his pause at the SD card. ]

Deal.
