I got into the only radiation-proof area that wasn't contaminated by mold from outside.

As far as that, I imagine it has to do with the coherence of the clouds. Given proof of nonexistence, it must be harder to stay together.

The bunker is radiation-proof. If you'd like to starve to death instead, I suppose you can all stay in there.

No, this is important. You don't understand. We have people with powers here. If they can survive long enough that the nanomachines stop working to suppress them, they could probably get that door open, even without the mechanisms. We just need to stretch out our food and store enough water for it. That's what we need to prepare for.

How long would it take for powers to come back without the nanomachines suppressing them? We can survive for three days without water. Might be able to stretch it out a bit farther with any tinned food that's got moisture in it.

One to two weeks. And nothing would come back in any reliable order.

But it's a chance. One you hadn't considered. And one that could make your life more difficult, Mr. Miller. If we somehow hang on and manage to survive, even if it's only a handful of us, if it's the ones who matter most for getting through... the Admin will still be in control. Because she won't have failed. We'll have survived.

I'm still incinerating your anomalies. We've got a week? How long is it going to take you to make more of them? Won't work so well if they all die and we all die at the same time.

I don't trust Eve, but I sure as hell would rather have her in charge than you.

I will. We're going to beat you, Mr. Miller. Your anomalies can't get into the Bunker. The people who stay there, who survive there, they're going to make it into the central area, and they're going to destroy you, and then they're going to get that machine to work for them so they can get home.
