[It's Peter, holding up his tablet to his face, and he's outside in the snow, walking.

He's also got a nosebleed.]

This is DJ Star-Lord coming to you from live from Norfinbury!

Anyway, I thought you guys might wanna see this.

[He turns the tablet around to show his anomaly, which is...well. It looked like he was made out of rock and mud, but there's like, all this crap on top of him. He's got tendrils that are hanging onto things--bits of rubble, mostly, and a pair of bath slippers that Peter threw at him to see if he'd catch them. The only thing recognizable about the slug-like creature is its the top part of its head, which looks like Peter's, except that its mouth is large and muddy.

And his anomaly is yelling at him. Mud is spewing everywhere.]

Hey! Give me that, that tablet's mine! You suck!

[And he's yelling back.]

You suck, you creepy-ass trash compactor! And it's mine.

[Peter turns back to the tablet, shrugging.]

He's been following me around but he's actually not that bad company? He's cool for an anomaly version of myself. We've been mostly listening to music and chilling while I've been trying to get over my death price. Which...I'd kinda like to apologize for and I'm really sorry if I said something I shouldn't have?

[A pause.]

I'm not gonna lie, I was super creeped out by him at first, because like...look, it's me, but pancaked? But he hasn't tried to kill me or anything. He says he just wants to like...run stuff over a lot? It's weird. I dunno. So I guess if you're fast enough you can avoid this one.

But has anyone actually tried making friends with their anomaly?

Haven't seen my anomaly yet. If there is one? But if it has violet eyes, don't try to hang out with it because it will likely eat you. Otherwise, I have no idea.

Dude, he says he saw your anomaly. And you had blue eyes? No wait--hold up--stone eyes? That's kinda cool. Oh, no, wait. He says you were blind.

[He's quiet, thinking about that. But if the stones were blue, not purple, that might be a good sign.]

Stone eyes? Okay, that's pretty messed up. I've heard of mages doing that, but it's creepy. I guess there's no problem telling him from me...

Yeah, he usually sticks around outside cause he just wrecks the insides of places. Dude really likes running things over. It's weird, but everybody's gotta have a hobby I guess.

If I see a guy with stone eyes I'll point him in your direction then.

[A pause.]

On second thought that might not be the best idea because Flynn's anomaly was pretty deadly, but maybe they're not deadly to themselves? I don't know.

Well, you sound better. And he's at least not trying to kill you. Sounds like some of our anomalies are more lucid than others.

[ He knows the next bit won't go over well, so he does his best to sound both serious and hopeful. ]

Could you let him try the tablet and see if he can work it? I'd like to know if they get recognized by the Network or not. And if you two are all right with each other, maybe they can talk to this that way and we can organize some help for them.

[A loud, heavy sigh, and he pinches the bridge of his nose, trying to work out the pros and cons. It's lucky that he actually does have a good rapport with his...self...and figures that he's fast enough to snatch it back if it gets bad.]

[He hands over the tablet, holds it in front of his monstrous double's face, who grabs it with a sludgy tendril. Immediately the video begins to glitch weirdly.]

If you lose it, the Admin will give you another one. That's how it works.

[ For now, anyway. When the anomaly grabs it, at least a little, Gabriel sets the video to record- and he's glad he did, thanks to the immediate glitching. ]

Mine kiiiiinda thinks I'm a fake Angel planted here by Robert Miller to make all our friends think she's fake, so. She's not really interested in being friends with me. It kinda sucks, because I'm no-- we're not really into labelling copies as being any less than the person they're copied from, so in theory we should have got along?

Um, anyway, she's friendly enough to other people! Just don't touch her. But, um, maybe say hi if you spot her? But she seems to be stalk-- hanging out around the bunker a lot, so unless you're near here you... probably won't. See her. Or whatever.

That sucks though? I was hoping more of them would be cool. But I ran into Flynn's anomaly and he was...like, terrifying.

Oh yeah, it's fine, my nose has pretty much been doing that whenever we hang out, so I'm kind of used to it.

How long have you been travelling with your anomaly? Have you had to maintain a set distance to keep it from affecting you?

Like a few days or somethin'? I found him a little while after I came back.

[He nods enthusiastically.]

Yeah! I get nosebleeds and dizzy when I step too close, but I found a good spot where we can still talk and stuff and it's cool. But I got kinda used to it too, so it doesn't bother me so much. I don't mind sitting near him.

[With his endless illness it's just another symptom upon others so he can deal. It's cool.]
