[network] @PetertheGreat; The Day The Music Died Part 2; Video; Morning 399 [open]

[Now that everything seems to be working again...sorta, it seems like the tablets are on the fritz which is...terrifying considering that's the only thing that's got any music left.]

Hey uh...

...look I'm not really big on apologies but I just wanna let you all know that I'm back to normal now and...and-- [This is hard.]

--I'm sorry for acting like a complete butthead.

So if you didn't see, the idiot evil version of me broke my Zune. And that means no more music, except what we got on the tablets. And now the tablets are freaking out so that's just great.

The Zune was...important to not only me, but to all of us. It's been there for me, us, during the worst times ever. And even if it's gone, it won't be forgotten. [Is this a eulogy? Maybe.]

Anyway, if you got links to any music, maybe we can put 'em all together here in one big thing. Cause that's all we got left.

[He's not about to cry, no.]

[Oh no, he finally makes his way outside and braves locking himself out of the bunker again and this is what he finds...]

I have the songs you sent from karaoke night. I could also try singing some, if you remember the lyrics. It won't be the same as the original performance, of course, but...if that offer is appealing, I wouldn't mind doing it for you.

Of course. All of your other self's threats hinged on you thinking there was nothing here for you, but...well, I suppose we both know for certain it isn't true.

I'm sure I can get others to help me with the melodies. We'll restore your music collection somehow.

[It feels good to be of some use to someone for once. And maybe the singing will lift the spirits of the people inside the bunker!]

[Being controlled by something other, even when that "other" borrows heavily from or is even part of your original self, is something more understandable than it should be in Norfinbury. Not wanting to evoke too many memories he would rather not, Enoch doesn't comment further on their mutual forgiveness of Peter's temporary loss of humanity.]

If they wish to be recorded too, I certainly won't deny them. My voice isn't suited for every song, after all. Do you remember many of the songs' lyrics by heart, or do you think you can at least find those who do remember what you don't? I'm afraid I wouldn't know any of them.

[Well, he remembers most of Time in a Bottle, but he's also got that on his tablet to send back to Peter. Which he does as long as he's got a network connection, along with the other karaoke night songs. Hopefully his infected tablet won't make this a problem, because finding someone with a clean tablet willing to let him sing at? Probably not too likely.]

Send them to me whenever you have them. Even if I don't see them right away due to being in the bunker, I won't forget them.

[How about that, it's something he can do, too! And maybe the singing will help improve the morale of the cleaning crew he's been working with? House has already sort of volunteered to help, he sees. Maybe they can collaborate.

This is going to be great. Shame about that Miller thing.]
