Action: Mid-Morning Day 376

When Rhys arrives back at the Bunker, he's got a pillowcase full of convenience store food, a very sore side, and a slight case of windburn, but he has the air of someone who's accomplished what he's set out to do.

He's still got a few things to do, though, and one of those is making good on the trades that he promised Alfie. So it doesn't take him long to seek out the other man, expecting him to be lingering somewhere near the entrance.

"So, I'm here to see a man about some trades," he offers when he finds him, eyebrow raised in mild amusement, and his intended items already bundled up and ready to be handed off.

The metal room that serves as the entrance to the bunker is small and uncomfortable, but Alfie, Royce, and Karkat have been making do: there's an air mattress in the far corner, along with pillow-and-blanket nests. Karkat and Royce are both skulking around in the background, neither of them likely to be feeling sociable, but Alfie pulls himself up from the floor immediately, giving Rhys a little wave and making his way over, bag in hand.

"Rhys, hello-- are we still calling you Other Rhys?"

Karkat would undoubtedly take offense to the idea that he's skulking. If anything, he's watchful and very much present, eyes alert in a way they haven't been for days. He's here to learn even if he isn't directly involved in the proceedings, and there's a hint of poorly restrained energy to him even as he waits to one side that may come across as being entirely too eager to help if if the situation calls for it. This is so cool.

It's tight quarters, but Rhys isn't overly concerned with others overhearing. There's no nefarious plans in the making right now, at least as far as he knows.

He wrinkles his nose slightly at the moniker, however.

"I think everyone sort of settled on Ink-Rhys, but, I mean. Just Rhys is fine if the other one isn't around?" He should be here somewhere, right? But not right here. He gives a crooked half-smile.

"I have to admit though, it's the first time I've ever run into someone with the same name so I guess a little bit of negotiation had to happen. He makes a bigger deal out of it than I do, though."

"Think he's gonna rip us off?"

While David has to admit that he actually enjoys the back and forths with Alfie on the network, it's still difficult for him to gauge the man and his motivations. Might be interesting to hear Stephen's opinion of it before they walk into the lion's den, so while they approach the meeting place he glances over at his travel companion. He's really not eager to walk into a trap.

He is very eager for that bonus cigarette, though.

"You ever met the man?"

Stephen's not entirely at ease himself. "Depends," he says. "We don't have anything he believes is his, so I expect he'll take the diplomatic route. I've met him a couple times and it's been...mixed. I don't think he'll screw us over just for the sake of screwing us over, at least."

"Drives a hard bargain, that's for sure."

David hums, kicking a clump of ice down a slope. "Kind of fun talking to him on the network. Hard to read, though." He glances over at Stephen. "Mixed how?"
