Don't worry, walking is also out of the question. [Obviously this is reassuring.]

I fought back, as well, at least to the extent that I could. The figures that grabbed us induced severe dizziness, and they were taking Ginger too, so my attention was a bit divided.

[This video features England's foot--or what used to be England's foot, and is now an unrecognisable mash of tissue and exposed broken bone. One of the red silhouettes is lapping up the blood from the floor where England's foot rests.]

And oh em gee he's going to be sick. He feels a gross lurch in his stomach.

Just counting down and waiting for it to pass.

It takes a moment, and then he responds. ]

Thankfully, he's not here with us.

But he is an idiot, so I imagine he's watching the videos as they're released, yes.

[Over text, it's much easier for England to pretend that this doesn't bother him. He hates that anyone is going to be seeing him like this, but America most of all.]

I'd advise against watching any further, if you've also been looking at them. If there's any pertinent information to be found within, I'm sure one of us in here will pass it along.

[At least the next video isn't violent. It appears to be in the aftermath. England is sitting in the same cell as Ginger; they've both been bandaged up, and Ginger wears what remains of England's shirt. There's a short snippet of their conversation as they interact. England is a little harder to hear, even though the video has accompanying audio, because his voice is nearly gone.

England: M'sorry.
Ginger: No...no, don't, I... I don't know how I'd be without you.
England: S'all right.]

[ He's relieved it's innocuous. He's also a mix of relieved and guilty that he has someone. That Ginger has him there, too. No one deserves any of that, but they still have each other. ]

I'm an idiot too.

[A compelling argument. England thinks it over.]

I understand where you're coming from. But you might want to ask him if he's all right with you seeing what happened, when you get the chance. It's cruel that the price of these messages is to make a spectacle of our suffering.

[England is resigned to losing his privacy in exchange for communication and answers, but his revulsion at the idea of an audience is still present. He imagines he isn't the only one who'd prefer if people didn't see.

Zell is provided with a short clip of a red figure toying violently with England's arm until the bone snaps.]

It's all right. I think survival takes priority over privacy for us in most cases, especially considering that Eve seems to be able to see us most of the time anyway. [This town has probably given them all very strange perspectives on things like televised torture.

But England does appreciate the gesture. The less people who see him in such a pathetic state, the better.

Though Zell won't be watching it, there's another video attached anyway: The red silhouettes circle England, who doesn't yet bear any injury. Their expressions can't be seen properly, but England is making biting comments that indicate the figures are watching him in the way some people might regard an exhibit at the zoo; fascinating, but utterly beneath them.]

From the public data it seems like maybe they can even watch stuff through our eyes. It's pretty freaky.

Everything is painful. That's of less concern to me than figuring out what's going on.

[This is still faster than the Morse code.

This one also features England early on in the process. The red figures have begun to dart into his space to brush their hands against his limbs and face, curious but tentative, and gone as quickly as they came to examine him.]
