[network] @[static]; Consolidation Theory, Part Five [open] [leave warnings in subject lines]
[This post begins with an off-putting series of electronic screeches and hisses, like someone is trying to send a fax over the wrong line.]
Consolidation Theory Part Five OOC Post
Consolidation Theory Part Five OOC Post
@(static); cw fingernail torture, hair torture and general gore
When he gets the tablet for a brief period of time, he thinks about it for a moment, then keeps it short, sweet and to the point. ]
We're all victims down here.
[ The text is shorter than the video. It shows a red figure grabbing an already beat and confused Will Graham. He appears to have chunks of hair ripped out of his head, and keeps spitting something towards the ground.
As he's held, more red figures come spilling past, handing something to the one grasping Will. It's hard to see what but they appear to be small and shard like, coated with blood. He merely grunts through the first couple times these shards are driven under his fingernails, but as it continues (what feels like an unending line of red figures) he begins to scream. ]

Eve is working on getting a trace on you guys.
Just give us time, okay?
We'll get you out of there.
cw: goreish force feeding
[ The events of this video appear to have happened before the event in the initial video, as Will's hands are intact.
He appears to be being force fed soaked wads of toilet paper. Blood is the most noticeable substance, but there is also water and something shiny, like soap. What is truly odd about the scene is that while he is being held down and forced, the way the wads are put in his mouth is almost like feeding him. ]
@zd; text
Like he almost drops the tablet at that. He can feel his stomach lurch at that and a selfish part of him starts worrying over what Jim has gone through.
Steadying his fingers as he types a response. ]
Sorry that happened to you.
There any around there that you trust?
[ SO he has someone there for him physically. ]
no subject
It's like I said. Everyone down here is a victim.
[ Perhaps not an answer to the 'trust' question, but it would hopefully suffice.
This time there is no horrific, gorish video. In fact the video is kind of anticlimactic, showing nothing of interest. What it does contain is a conversation. The voices can be recognized as Dr. Gregory House and Will Graham.
House: "Sorry, we're rationing our barbeque allowance. Cook-out Sundays you can get your allotted two teaspoons to use as you wish.
House: "If you're thinking of substituting with that crap, can't recommend it. Last time they had us locked up in cages, the food was drugged. Not that they can't just static drug us, but don't make it easier for 'em."
Will: "Better save my caloric intake for Sunday. It takes discipline to keep this girlish figure."
Will: "Two points of immediate interest. Those of us with the red lines, are still restrained in their cells, but not people like you and I. Additionally, while we seem to have memories of what happened ... so far no one I talked too with red, reports no awareness of what happened."
House: "Probably Miller screwing with us. They injected us with something. Might've been more nanomachines... but if he's not working with Evie... where's he getting those out from under her nose? Didn't seem like he'd shut her out the same way he did when they were doing emergency repairs. But he's clearly got the ability to lock her system.
Until he doesn't. And then he's just some lowly IT schmuck doing her bidding. What if he's got the virus? Who's the mole in Norfinbury? It's one of the trivia questions he asked us. Asshole. It's him. Miller's the mole!
Will: "Mole for who or what? If I remember my reading correctly, isn't Miller supposed to have been a contact for the company in charge of this town?"
Will: "It's not here. My 'little friend'? This is the first time, since I acquired it that I haven't sensed it. It was with me, even down in the Pit, but not here."
House: "The cult, maybe. Or whoever introduced the virus that made the cult. Interesting about the passenger. Especially when you had 'em down in the pit room. Thought the static meant the cult. Could be we got the static that was chanting 'kill the Prophet' a while back. But if it's not cult-y, that undercuts the idea of Miller being a mole." ]
[OOC: Conversation taken from here with House player's permission. ]

But he sees that convo... and it's with House. ]
Not saying people aren't victims
but it's hard if you don't have someone you can trust to have your back.
It looks like you have someone though.
I'm glad. He's a cranky asshole but he means well.
I agree with him about Miller.
He's definitely sketchy as hell
Or maybe paranoia got to him
[ House is a good bean, just an asshole. Also sorry, Will. He's getting off topic a bit. It's easier to launch on the other topic even if it wasn't for him. ]
voice;
A couple of people. And I'd take these two above an army.
[ He'd reached the limit of what he could type, so it was going to have to be voice from here forward. His hands were just too painful. ]
Miller seems to be at the center of whatever is happening here.
Text;
I'm glad.
Miller he
When he pulled shit the first time
He said he had orders from up top.
It felt like he picked how to motivate us and it was pretty effed up.
So there's definitely something not right with him
I'm going to punch him when I meet him.
[ Punch him and his space heater ]
voice;
I'm starting to get the impression there is quite a bit more than one thing not right with him.
I didn't pay much attention to it at the time, but I had reason to remember what I read about Miller when I arrived here. He had something to do with the company that set up Norfinbury, right?
no subject
Yeah he was a systems administrator that worked for town hall.
Apparently he's been sleeping for a frickin long time.
He's been sleeping even before the bombs went off.
At least thats what he says.
I don't buy it.

He was quiet for a long moment, before shaking his head -not that Zell could see it- and speaking. ]
How the hell does that fit into all this.
[ It wasn't a question, more like an out loud musing. ]
no subject
It's been pissing me off.
And just why would anyone need to be put on ice BEFORE the bombing?
There was whatever that crazy outbreak was.
Sure
But why just him.
There has to be something more.
Like maybe he was put to sleep because he did something bad or couldn't be trusted.
It just doesn't make sense that it's some IT guy, you know?
no subject
First, he was thinking through what Zell was saying and developing a few more questions of his own. Second, he'd noticed the videos now and was inwardly facepalming at what had been shared of the exchange between himself and House.
That horse had bolted, but something weird was going on and Will was thinking about the state he'd initially found Hannibal in. Definitely not something he wanted to share with the network, but he didn't seem to have any control over what videos got released.
In the end, he couldn't help himself. ]
Do you know if there is record of any other representatives from the company that founded Norfinbury here in the town?
[ Will gets a little lucky this time. The video that displays shows him collapsed on the ground of a moldy cell. He is battered, beaten, hands wrecked and surrounded by wads of the filthy toilet paper that had been jammed down his throat.
But at the moment he's alone.
It seems to just be video of a man panting, but after a few seconds of that image, there comes a disembodied voice that Zell might recognize as Miller's.
Miller: "Well, THAT didn't work." ]

He doesn't like Will from the small amount of interaction they've had, but he's not about to let him go without comfort if he can offer it, not in a situation like this.]
We're working on finding you. Try to hold on.
voice - cw: Fingernail horror
But he also appreciated the supportive words in there here and the now. ]
I know you all are doing your best. [ He spoke in a soft, calm voice. ] We're trying to do what we can for everybody down here.
[ Despite Will wishing otherwise, a video accompanied his words.
It was video of him standing close to House. House had Will's hand in between his own, the bandages were undone, exposing his mangled fingernails, split some of them clear in two, leaving ugly cuts and throbbing, swollen flesh behind.
But along with the horror of the nails, there's something else. House's fingers are trailing down along the injured hand, moving in a soothing manner. The contact is featherlight and could be excused as House simply examining for further damage. That was the story they were both sticking too if it ever came up in conversation.
In fact they appear to be offsetting the comforting contact, with some rather ridiculous shittalking.
Will: "Do you think that barnacle, with the longest penis, bothers with making out or does it just go straight for home base?"
House: "I mean, who's not gonna wanna ride that train all the way to party town? Granted, girl and gay barnacles might be used to their guy's being long. Maybe girth comes into it, too. Must be this wide for the auto-ride. Or there might be barnacle porn stars with even bigger than average dicks. Names like Cee Cucummer using his C.L. brand condoms."
Because obviously that was a pun porn name that absolutely needed to see the light of day. ]

A glitch? False video? But for what purpose?
The confusion of it makes him quiet for a bit too long before he responds to what's actually been said to him, voice a little unsure.]
Good, keep holding each other above the water line and we'll be there before you drown.
no subject
Will honestly figured the conversation was wrapped, so he was surprised when he heard Bucky's voice. It took him a moment before he responded. ]
I'll let the others know. [ His tone was sincere. He knew it would help a lot of people, just knowing that there were friends beyond this mess who were coming for them. ]
no subject
How bad are the injuries there?
[Are people going to need to be carried out? Are some people beyond saving?]
no subject
Physically? Some are in worse shape than others, broken bones and the like. [ There will be no mention of his own situation. ] But we all appear to have been given medical care.
Psychologically? It's a mess down here.
no subject
[Perhaps that sounds harsh, but he can't do anything about mental injuries and trauma won't stop people actually being able to use their legs and get out. Those sort of problems can be dealt with after.]
Anyone you think can't walk if we get there?
no subject
[ Bucky may be focused on the practical, but for the moment Will has been focused on trying to put band-aids on the psychological trauma. ]
no subject
[He's much more about the physical, the psychological is something he generally tries to ignore.]
no subject
Though I'd consider having one or two extra, in case I missed anyone.
no subject
[He hadn't expected such a thorough effort and his opinion of Will rises just a little in response.]
Hold on, we're on our way.
