BUILDING 12: This bizarre house, while fully intact, only consists of one very large empty room and a hatch that leads to the maintenance tunnels.

[ Royce passes out, too - but he sobers up, at least. When Alfie starts to kick, it wakes Royce up halfway, and he mumbles something unintelligible as he scoots up, wrapping his arms around Alfie and hugging him close.

He tucks Alfie's head under his chin and sighs out a quiet shhh, absently petting at his hair the way Alfie does for him sometimes. ]

[devoutish]

[Alfie murmurs something equally unintelligible in a questioning tone of voice. His lips twitch, and he burrows in closer still, seeking warmth.]

[bywolves]

[ Royce repeats the soft shhh, pulling the blankets closer to them. He's still mostly asleep, but he's insistent on making sure Alfie can settle down. He pets whatever he can reach, soothing. ]

[devoutish]

Shouldn't sleep all day.

[He rumbles, waking just enough to say that before immediately drifting off again. They shouldn't, but they probably will.]

[bywolves]

[ Royce probably will, though. He's recovering from being drunk, and from having not slept for a few days - he's warm, and Alfie is warm, and he just... sleeps.

For a while, anyway. He needs to change Alfie's bandages and check on the wound at some point, which he'll remember later. ]
